Darkfall: UW has been green lit and the whole process took all of 48 hours!

I'm sure they didn't receive the necessary number of votes, but it was noted that games could be green lit if they receive enough votes in a short span of time, which is likely what happened. Lesson to Steam community: nobody zergs like Darkfall fans!

As of this posting, the game's set for launch on 12-12-12 (fingers crossed), though they're not sure it will be released on Steam at that time. Pre-orders should be available starting early next week.

Thanks to anyone here who voted, even if you're not going to play.

Aventurine has done the one thing they said they would never do: they are attempting to add Darkfall to Steam. Please go to the greenlight page for Darkfall: Unholy Wars and upvote this game.

Darkfall: Unholy Wars recently released the first video of gameplay, which also introduced the community to the new roles system.

The roles system restricts players to certain skills and armor sets, but, different from a class system, can be changed frequently and doesn't lock players into their choices forever.

In the video players also got a glimpse of the revamped GUI, which promises to be far superior to the GUI from the orginial Darkfall.

The long-awaited sequel to the hardcore MMO Darkfall Online, titled Darkfall: Unholy Wars, will be available for digital download starting November 20th.

For those who are unfamiliar with it, Darkfall is an indie MMO developed by Aventurine, SA. The game is an MMO with twitch-based real-time combat, free-for-all PvP, full loot and a seamless, instance free world that is the largest of its kind.
