Seriously.
The point of Mann Vs. Machine is to stop the robots from delivering the bomb. They way to do so, is to kill them as soon as possible.

If you are the only engineer of the team, one of the main sources of damage. A giant robot can escape your teammates if youre not with them. And if he reaches you, you cant kill a full health giant on your own.

Same goes for tanks. Waiting for a tank with over 50.000 hp, at the very end of the track, is gonna get you kicked. Its about damage over time, not "damage while they deliver the bomb". Dummy.
