It's rather sad to see it go, but there's just too many things working against the server. With the release of Overwatch, and my position being cemented with multiple contract offers, I knew I wouldn't have the time to dedicate to this server. I had planned on selecting a few people to become admins (a postion previously reserved only for myself.) I've seen many smaller servers die due to admin abuse or griefing, so I was reluctant to do this. However, there were a couple of people I was starting to trust enough.

Unfortunately disaster struck. A simple server outage turned into a massive data loss. This meant that all 100+ maps would need to be re-uploaded, and rezoned. All records wiped (in my eyes one of the worst thing that can happen,) and all plugins re-written to function correctly. This wasn't a simple process. The store alone required over 2,000 lines of code to be edited. All of this coupled with the fact the the server was consistenly losing money, and being almost entirely paid for out of my pocket, created a worst case scenario for a server. It's simply no longer viable.

Does this mark the end of Solarium for good? Well In all likelihood, yes. Although if there comes a time when I can afford to fund the server, and pay for all the custom plugins it deserves, it could come back. However, this isn't likely to happen anytime soon.

We had some good times. I got to know a lot of great people, and I'm sure you guys did too. i look forward to meeting you all elsewhere in the future.
