Hey guys! Weird time of day and all I know, but I have a very promising update that I was concerned might be a pain in the ass to orchestrate that turned out to be anything but:

I am not a programmer. I'm more of an artist/perfectionist "tweaker" of game settings. So that being said, there were a couple of plug-ins I felt were more or less essential to the core of the latest iteration of this server I wanted commissioned that I've now gotten...commissioned! At a very reasonable price. I figured I'd let people know what they are as I personally was very excited I found someone to make. The guy made the 1st one in 2 hours time and is working on the others. Here is a description of them:

• Ever play Toejam & Earl? No? It was a co-op game for the Sega Genesis. If you walked into each other horizontally both of your healths would be averaged. So if one person was really really low, and the other guy was max health, it'd split the average to basically make it more likely you could survive if say you found some health along the way.
  
  The plug-in this guy has made in connection with this is basically a TF2 version of that concept. But you use the "High-Five" taunt (obviously).
  
  
• 2nd plug-in: Donator benefits (which will be coming down the line, and will only be non-game-changing cosmetic-type things) will be the ability to select a sprite over your head of your choosing. A couple I had in mind:
  
  The Sims diamond
  The Metal Gear Solid Alert Exclamation Point
  The Wow Quest Giver Exclamation Point
  
  
• 3rd plug-in: This one is hard to explain but will aid in directing the flow of the type of map (see: Game Mode) that people would want to play by separating maps into Initial categories upon a map vote, say (CTF, Silly Maps, Custom Game Mode, Snack Shack Favorites, Payload) & then once that vote goes through (and say, Custom Game Mode is chosen), will then proceed to the 2nd vote which will display 5 maps of differing game modes (and may just have certain maps being more likely to be chosen by players' ratings of the map).
  
  
• 4th: There are certain maps that work better with more players, and ones that work better with less. If the player count rises, or drops a significant amount during a map, a text box will pop up saying something along the lines of: "Yo dawg! There are much funner maps for the current player count, type !rtv to change or type !listmapspl# for a list" ---> the last command would list maps based on a range I would assign to each map personally.
  
  The aim of this is to keep players' enjoyment to a maximum dependent upon the current player count.
  
  
• 5th: I am very excited about this one. It is inspired by the Overwatch endorsement system. A set amount of times per 24hrs say, a player can "endorse" another player for basically making their game experience better (fun to play with, good teammate, helpful). The store plug-in which offers rewards such as: custom titles, hat effects (and I plan- skins) is "credit"-based, and as such if a player is endorsed will reward some extra credits (Credits are normally awarded for play time. Possibly for donating in the future).

Hey guys, I'm just going to be transparent with everyone. I think most of you know I have a lot of substance abuse issues. Recently I went on a couple month long bender that was absolutely insane and ridiculous. I realized how much I was hurting my parents by not responding to them, how much I wasn't being nearly as productive at the things I'm passionate about (see: working on Snack Shack & its related duties) and I just got sick of it.

I've been a week sober, been going to AA & recently got prescribed Adderall (although it's a controlled substance I feel it was the missing piece to re-igniting my passion for creating things & don't feel any urge to abuse it).

I realize this is very personal but I kind of don't care, haha. What I want you guys to know is that I am now in a state of mind where I am very focused and driven to bring back the glory days of a great game, and hopefully make some people happy. cough also to make my life stable cough

So....to be honest, this is more or less the reason you haven't seen as much, or as swift a pace of the production of: the SS promo vid & SS server configuration in general, & why I've been kind of absent & quiet with things.

I hope you guys understand & just know that I now am prescribed something to make me laser-focused & efficient as crap on "doing shit." Haha.

This is very personal but I feel like these issues need to be more discussed, I have no shame in saying this:

For years I have struggled with alcohol. Substance abuse and mental health issues are easily glossed over in today's society. But tomorrow I will be admitting myself to a long-term treatment facility. I realize this is going out to a shitton of people and I don't mind.

Tonight will be the last night in a long time (think months) that you will see me online. I will keep the server up but will obviously not be updating this.
