I just started streaming again a month ago and I build up a small but pretty cool community. Since I started surfing again and have my established viewerbase, which mainly consist out of surfers, I thought starting up a server again. This time it's managed by a huge community though, which usually only has 100tick Servers.

Howsoever, recess.no will provide me a 64 tick skillsurf timer with their highly customized cK surf timer - it pretty much only has the base of cK surf but it's highly customized and gets updated every now and then.

I just looked through the server stats and noticed, that the server gets almost empty after a mapchange (especially t4+ maps). I've opened up the server to give talented and good newcomers a platform to train their skills by surfing ANY map and not just t1-t2 maps. That's why we've set a great value upon map variety. Sad enough that not only newcomers but also good surfers leave the server instantly when it gets changed to some tier4+ maps. To avoid this, maps can - from now on - get rtv'd after 15 minutes into the map.

Why? ...
.. well, we just want to avoid an empty / low population server. But please don't forget (and we won't as well): WE'VE OPENED UP THE SERVER FOR TALENTED GOOD SURFERS - AND THIS WILL STAY THE SAME.

It has never been our goal to conduct a pleb server but rather a conglomerate of good talented surfers AND friends. If I will ever notice, that the server merges into a mix of mic spammer, instant RTV'er or harassers & abusers, I'll muck out every single disturber, that's for sure.

Tell me about your experience with the rtv change, if you like it or if we should change it back. I'm just trying to bring in a new twist.

p.s.: surf_dusk bonus will be deleted tomorrow since it's exploitable.

- surf_exile_njv (shouldn't be missing anymore)
- surf_primero (shouldn't be missing anymore)
- surf_happyhands3 (deleted since it crashed the server)
- surf_telstar (WE BLOCKED EVERY SHORTCUT - Maprecords got reseted)

Maps should be available after the next server restart.

here are the preliminary changes in the new timer patch coming up these days. AFTER the patch, he will work on the WRCP System. Also he changed !hideweapon to !disarm, not shown in the patchnotes. As soon as the update hits, we'll update our server as well. After the patch, I'm doing some cleanup and will minimalize the timer's optic.

Changelog:

- Multiple bonuses
- You can now create multiple bonuses by going to !zones -> Create Zones -> Bonus Zones
- You can now also add stages and other zones to bonuses
- Increased the maximum amount of checkpoints or stages to 35
- New title system
- Admins can give players titles that are in the custom_chat_titles.txt with the !givetitle command.
- The first title holds VIP privileges, that give the player access to !vip command
- Titles support colors and you can make up to 20 of them
- Players can change their title with the !titles command
- If they set all titles to OFF, their rank will be displayed instead.
- VIP -system
- Players with the VIP title can access !vip that holds special effects
- Fixed issue where bots wouldn't spawn in certain maps due to broken spawn points.
- Added trails for bots
- Checkpoints are now briefly showed in the timer panel.
- Updated source code to compile with SM 1.8
