Secret of Silaris

My three friends and I have started developing a new survival type server. our aim for the server is for it to have a MMO fantasy type feel combined with the wonderful freedom and creativity of Minecraft.

Currently we have a custom 10k x 10k world with lots of interesting features: islands, mountain ranges, great forests and barren waste lands etc.



The server has 3 main themes:

1. Towny/Nations – There are 3 main cities that players will be able to choose from; The desert mountain city of Modus, The magical floating city Protheros Landing and high in the frozen mountains sits Elion keep.
These cities are the players default homes and contain markets, quests and class trainers.
Outside of the city limits we call “the Wild” this is a dangerous place between cities where anything goes. Players are free to venture straight out and play minecraft as per usual, but at their own risk. PVP, looting, stealing and griefing are all acceptable in the wild.
Should you wish to settle down, town plots will be available so players can start building towns and forming communities.

2. Heroes – We will be using the plugin Heroes to add an extra dimension to our questing and PVP. Heroes provides the opportunity for players to choose between one of our custom classes each with its own custom ability, be you a mage with the ability to hurl fireballs at enemies or a mighty sword wielding warrior who cuts down foes with powerful melee attacks.
Level up your character via questing, mob grinding or PVP to unlock all the skills available to your chosen class.

3. Quests – We use the plugin Citizens which allows us to script our own quests. Each of the 3 main cities will have their own quest line to follow. Quests are designed to introduce players to our various plugins and to guide them out into the world.
Fantastic custom rewards will be gained through questing along with titles.
Some of the quests will require players to journey far and wide, and in some cases they will have to venture deep into the dungeons Silaris has to offer. Dungeons will be difficult so players would be wise to band together using the party system, as the creatures that inhabit these dungeons are no ordinary mobs.

What we’re looking for!

Admins – Mature experienced and active players to moderate chat and deal with any issues new or old players may have.

Builders – Exceptional builders to help create amazing dungeons and places to explore

Writers – There are some creative people out there and we would love someone to help create the story and quest lines. We have made a start but would prefer someone with creative writing experience.
