ABOUT Save Sam and Max!

Are you sick and tired of the new voices of Sam and Max, and want the old voices back? Then this is the group for you! All fans of Bill Farmer and Nick Jameson are welcome here!

Bill Farmer is an award-winning voice actor who has been the official voice of Goofy from the Disney cartoons for over 20 years.

Nick Jameson is a musician who has been in groups like The American Dream and Foghat, and an actor who has been on TV series, including "The Critic", "Lost", and "24".

Together, they are the voices of Sam and Max... or rather, they USED to be.

Instead, the current voices of Sam and Max are cheap low-budget imitation actors with virtually zero background history. They have already been in an episodic series that currently consists of sixteen "episodes", as well as two Poker Night games.

Telltale Games currently owns the rights to the Sam and Max franchise, and currently has no plans to include either of the two original actors in their voice cast.

The Sam and Max products that contain the original voices are two games that are currently owned by LucasArts... a company that refuses to sell either of them in this country, much less allow the second one to actually be finished.

Because of this, I am starting this Steam group.

With the 20th anniversary of the Sam And Max Hit The Road looming, it is important fans of the original voice actors get what they want!

We wish for the following to happen:

1. For LucasArts to rerelease Sam and Max Hit The Road in the United States, as well as uncancel Sam and Max: Freelance Police, a game that was cancelled on March 3, 2004, since those are the only two Sam and Max products that contain the original voices.

2. For Telltale Games to revise its current episodic series to allow Bill Farmer and Nick Jameson to reprise their roles as Sam and Max, respectively, and integrate their voices into their sixteen episodes and both of their Poker Night games.

In order for that to happen, we must MAKE it happen. Now is not the time to sit back and let cheap imitations ruin the integrity of the Sam and Max franchise! The series needs to return to its voice acting roots before it's too late!
