The rolling waves meted out the slow hours of another day at sea without an encounter. Any further re-appearance of the sea-creatures with spears had been dealt with swiftly and solely by Jet - who now had turned the technique of fighting while hanging off the side of the boat into a martial art, collecting the creatures' spears and braining them as soon as they appeared. Thorn hadn't seen Will for what seemed like an eternity - perhaps he had found a way to visit another plane, and was presently bending a demon's ear about the time he was once an overfiend. The sails and several crew-members bore the char-marks of Rieta's idleness enforced by lacklustre winds, and she was now forced to sleep in the lifeboat, suspended over the side. Lyra seemed to cope the best, with a generally sunny disposition only occasionally marred by mooning about once a month or getting all starry-eyed over a passing sea-pig. With nothing else to do, Thorn revisited the decision not to carry contraband.

Yay! It might even be possible to use the steam group as an active tool to co ordinate sessions :-D

Ben and Daddy's d12 game (Ben made up more than half the rules) - one person keeps rolling and does according to numbering below, until handover (then other person keeps rolling, etc):
1. Shout "Go"
2. Stand up permanently, hand over dice.
3. Get dressed (started the game in the morning)
4. Hand over dice.
5. Shout "5, snakes alive!" and both get a lollie from the bowl. (I was trying to teach him to recognise this number, one of the few he keeps getting stuck on)
6. Ben has to run a lap inside the house.
7. Shout "Go Go Go", cancels any previous effect of 2 or 12.
8. Pat Buffy.
9. Stand up, turn around, sit down.
10. Stand up, stay standing up for a bit, then flop down.
11. Daddy has to run a lap inside the house. ('Daddy I can't remember how to say the number but you HAVE TO GO!')
12. Hand over dice, lie down until dice handed back or a 7 is rolled.
