ABOUT General Sir Anthony CH Melchett and perky's Russian Resistance

Fortitudine Vincimus

The Russian Resistance was first formed in 2013 by players of Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad. It’s creation was a response to the status quo of good players gravitating from the Allied team to the Axis team. While we no longer exclusively play on the Allied team, the choice that RR members made to correct the imbalance – and the gaming values this choice represented – still defines us to this day.

We believe that all players should be respected, including new players, whom we feel a collective duty to help.
Because of the emphasis of fun over competitiveness and formality, we see ourselves as part of a gaming community, rather than a clan. The name of Russian Resistances is more a description of a collection of friends than a hierarchical gaming institution.

While (mostly) all meeting through Red Orchestra, we play lots of other games together, but the games we most enjoy are realistic and focus on group cooperation and teamplay. The majority of RR members are european, but we have, and welcome, members from across the globe.

They didn´t actually "get" my account since I´ve got the authentificator as security measure. So everything that requires to type in a code was off limits for them. Chat, blocking friends and kicking friends isn´t protected - I might think the whole browser chat thingy isn´t. They take their time and only seem to reach out to people online. It´s not a bot and they act reasonable (in a steam way). I think they were after accounts without security and/or payment methods to abuse (mine is paypal so you´re stuck there as well). I really hope that nobody took real damage because of those little shits.

Welcome back, Beaker! Hopefully the new medication is strong enough to keep these hallucinogenic episodes in check

Anyway, he is the second person to fall victim on my friends list, some users reporting higher numbers. This has the chance of spreading around quite a bit.

Not sure if reporting the accounts helps at all, seems Beaker got his back pretty fast, but this isn't the case for everyone.

Could be a good idea to make your own copypasta as a counter-measure (e.g. "if anyone sends you a message and URL about CSGO, don't respond") and spread it to everyone, although Steam already should give you a clear warning message when receiving that same link from anyone (+common sense) so probably not necessary.
