Maestro here again! Sorry for the lack of updates, but the medals are still work in progress. I’m going to make another update, but this time with some pictures. I didn’t want to show them before because I thought we could finish them sooner, but since we are taking so long I’ve decided to at least show what’s up with the medals, even if that would ruin the surprise to the finalists.

Ultiduo Finalist Medal [comp.retf2.org]

This is one of our Retrospective 2 finalist medals, both for the first and second place for our different formats. As you can see, it’s a videogame cartridge, but without a finished label. The finished version includes illustrations of some of the finalists, making a gag in the respective tournament they played on.

Drawer is in charge of the drawings and labels of both the participant and winner medals. It would be an easy task if he had time to do it, but he’s facing some challenges with his design career and has almost no time to invest. Because I know it’s taking so long, I’ve pressured him to work faster, but I realized this would just make things even worse. The best thing I can do now is to give him more space to work at his own pace and wish the best for his studies.

I’ve decided to make this update since a lot of people are afraid of never receiving the medals, but I think it was important to show that we are still working on them and to make clear the reasons.
