REPORT KNOWN SCAMMERS

Group is for the purpose of reporting scammers on steam. When reporting a scammer please have as much info as possible. Going to http://steamrep.com/ and looking up a steam user will give you all the scammers steam info. ( see pinned topic Reporting format) Then start a post reporting the scammer. Post with little or not enough info will be deleted untill done correctly.

When uncertain if someone is a possible scammer take the time to take screenshots of the users profile, groups and friends list. In the event you are scammed this info can be very helpful. Most likley they will unfriend you and make there profile private. If you have not taken the time to do this simple step and get scammed you will have no info. Also the screenshot of the scammers groups is very helpful, you can join the scammers groups and post an alert that this individual is a scammer in the groups disscussion board.

Any scam reports or new type scam post (item/money item/item scams) done in a correct format will be pinned and locked. These are the post we need to help put a stop to these people.

If you notice a friend has a scammer on there friends list please ALERT them. If you recieved a friend request for a trade and notice a scammer on there friends list ALERT them and be cautious when trading. There are scammer groups on steam, a scammer on there friends list may be an indication they are also a scammer . Be cautious of someone friend requesting you for a trade post you put up but never commented in the post, just another possible indication of a scammer.

If possible only trade with traders you trust and people they have traded with. Always consider a unknown traders +Rep as fake. Anyone can leave a comment with a +Rep, it does not mean the person traded anything. It can just be scammers helping out scammers.

ALWAYS invite anyone to the group you know has been scammed or is a trustworthy trader. Also report anyone in the group that is a scammer.
