Hi, everybody. It's been a long time since I've given you an update. Since we opened in 2017, it's mostly just been announcements about the server's IP, or storms changing the IP... nothing to an outsider looking in.

In 2017, I reopened the server, under the understanding that it was still very much a work in progress. It wasn't an official announcement, but more of a "come play, if you want!" type thing.

Well, we're drawing closer and closer to an official alpha opening. I don't expect many people will see this, but as we draw closer still, expect to see a series of videos, trailers, and so forth.

The things that are still keeping me from the alpha opening? I have a LOT of the starting terrain figured out, but I'm still coding the NPC interactions. I'm not *entirely* sure if I can do as much with the NPCs as I'd like, but I have a lot of dialogue written, and I'm currently working on the AI, which may require quite a bit of advanced coding to really come to life.

I also have the groundwork for the classes I intend to implement, but I'm still coding the various enemies you may run into, as well as the more complex aspects of your interactions with them.

So it's coming closer. I'm sorry it's taken so long, but I thought I'd let you know what's going on (if you're listening).

P.S. Remember when I announced a tournament series? Yeaaah... we need to do more with that soon.

Starting Thursday, I'll be going out of town. I'll try to leave the server open for y'all, but there's a chance that it may go down between Thursday and Sunday. In that case, there isn't much I'll be able to do.

Declining interest in the server has led me to the idea that maybe I need to take it down for awhile.

We'll have a grand reopening at some point, when I'm able to focus on that rather than freelance writing, game development, and art. But for now, I think it's best that I take it down. I can't commit the time I used to to maintaining it, and I don't think I've done a good job at holding people's interest while I've been working on the story portions of the map.

SkyBlock has been a wonderful addition, but because I didn't refine it enough, it ultimately fell on deaf ears. So rather than advertising the server again tomorrow, I'll be taking a retreat to focus on our plan.

I will probably be in the server very, very little in the coming weeks. This isn't because I'm scrapping any plans- it's because I'm moving from the server work to the website, until I get it done, and focusing on finding sustainable income. While we could just use Enjin, I want to create a brand that's unique to us. I hope you will all continue to play and build in the meantime- I may be in occasionally. But until further notice, maintenance periods won't be happening and we won't be advertising. I want to make sure everything is perfectly ready for our new players, that we have a staff structure and plenty of support tools for it, etc.

Although I suppose there is the necessity of testing...

From 3p to 6p CDT, the server will be in maintenance.
