Mug Root Beer is a brand name of root beer made by the Mug Company of San Francisco, California, a subsidiary of Mug LLC. It was originally produced by our founder and one true god, Charles Cumgumbler in San Francisco, California, during the 1860s as "Cumgumbler's Oriental-Be-Gone!". As it turns out, the concoction did little to make them run away. Instead, they, along with many others, came to enjoy it as a refreshing beverage! Cumgumbler then knew what he had to do. He spent years perfecting his formula, and to this day, it remains unchanged! Mug Old Fashioned Root Beer still contains all the nutrients in that original spray, with all the flavors of California, including:

- Cambodian Slave Boy

In the late 1960s, Sugar Free Mug (now Diet Mug Root Beer) was introduced. The soft drink was famous for taking the United States from a thin nation of starving loser peasants to a rich, booming nation of healthy 400 pound winning consumers! This was accomplished through our patented sugar replacement, a liquid made of deep fried twinkies and mayonnaise!

The Mug features our company's mascot, a bulldog named Dog, holding a mug of root beer. Dog was inspired by the many dogs Mr Cumgumbler has had over the course of his long life, most of which were eventually eaten to gain their power.
