MTA community

The MTA:SA server closed back in 2011. While it is uncertain if it'll come back, some old members still remain in this group, waiting for a possible rebirth.

It's been some years since DKR was shut down. While its future in MTA:SA remains uncertain to this day, the DKR clan crew on GTA online grows strong.

Regular heists

In order to remain an active community and make a bit of cash, we'll be programming regular heists.

For now, it's hasn't been decided whether it's going to be on fridays, saturdays or sundays. If we get enough support, perhaps we could program several so as everyone can join in the action.

Termination of DKR - Beginning of a new community

DKR Clan & Server as it exists currently will end at the beginning of 2012. Some of you may already know this, or have expected something along these lines from recent discussions which have taken place on IRC or the server. Apologies to anyone this is a complete shock to, this post is intended to be the ‘early warning’.

DKR has changed a lot over its nearly four-year history, what began as a simple clan server has become one of the largest and most popular servers in MTA, and acts as something of a community server for MTA’s freeroam population. We believe that the community aspect of the server should be fostered, and that the inherent bias of having a clan directly affiliated with the server is detrimental to that goal. As such, the DKR Clan will be discontinued at the beginning of 2012.

The DKR server and its resources – whilst remaining popular over such a long time – is out-dated and difficult to maintain. Some of the resources are heavily modified versions of the ones which existed when the server was founded, many contain stability issues due to the high volume of players we receive, most are poorly optimised. The server is essentially built on shaky foundations, and the process of adding bits on here and there as we have been for years is causing problems. Rather than taking the approach of fixing problems as they come, the DKR Server will be discontinued at the beginning of 2012 and replaced with a brand new community server which is currently being scripted from scratch. The hardware that the game server will run off will also be greatly improved.
