Recently, Gmod's Steam Workshop has been struck by multiple DMCA takedowns mainly targeting addons that are related to Nintendo, originally people thought it's a series of false reports made by a guy known as "Aaron Peters", but the official announcement and Garry's statement on Twitter made some people believe that the takedowns were made by Nintendo themselves, however there are some reports of non-Nintendo addons getting taken down as well.

Not matter who's the is real perpetrator, The Steam Workshop isn't safe for addons anymore, thus I recommend a few alternatives sites for you to upload your mods up to besides the Steam Workshop:

Internet Archive (Slow to upload and old site structure, but ensures the preservation of the files.)
https://archive.org/

GameMaps (Old mod site, the main place to get L4D2 mods before the workshop is a thing.)
https://www.gamemaps.com/

SFMLab (Mainly for SFM, but can host Gmod models as well as long as they're usable in SFM.)
https://sfmlab.com/

And Telegram as well, as it has a virtually unlimited cloud storage for you to upload your files up to, and bots to make them downloadable for others.

You can use both Crowbar and gmpublisher to get the addon files from the workshop.
(Too bad SteamWorkshopDownloader.io isn't a thing anymore, sad.)

I've been staying a bit quiet online for a while, but I think I should make some public statements regarding where I have been recently.

Ever since late 2019, I’ve been starting to make content in general, and from 2020 I’ve also made a couple of Gmod/SFM addons as well. It has been like that for a while, until the May of last year, where I seems to be taking a long break from making content in general.

Basically, I’ve made content for the past 3 years, and I’ve made a mess in my PC throughout the years as well, which I never really bothered to organize before, but ultimately it started to make some impact to my workflow, so I spent some time trying to organizing them.

Late last year, I’ve got into a rabbit hole of note-taking apps due to my study, however it was also when I realized that I never documented the things I know about, which can cause some problems later on, espeically after old forums are starting to die down like XeNTaX.

Originally I should able to get back to making my stuff eariler, but I lost one of my hard drives with all the files I have on it last October, which ruined the original workflow, and it made me realized that storing all my stuff on my HDD drives might not be a good option.

After searching for a while, I finally found a solution for it recently by backing my files up online using Telegram with T-Drive and Unlim, but I’m not sure if it can last long, and it can take quite a while for my assets and stuff to be fully backed up on there.

Lastly, my IRL social life is better than how I was a few years ago, as now I have actual friends that I hang out with occasionally. But at the same time, college works takes more time than high school, which made me spending more time on them instead of my personal stuff.

Plus that I got a new server up and running right now, which replaces the old one due to all the bad dramas that has happened there due to bad management.

So yeah, all of these led to a bunch of legacy issues that I want or need to solve soon, otherwise they’ll just be bigger later on. Which is also the reason why you don’t see being that active recently, as I’ve been trying to solve these issues, archiving things, etc etc.

As for those that I’ve asked me for commissions or other requests, they’re on my list, and I really want to do them with my projects, but the main issues had caused me having some troubles with them right now. So I want to apologize sincerely for delaying them this long.

If anyone have any experience on things like this, suggestions or solutions, you can share them to me if you want, as I’m having bad sleeping schedules again, often only sleeps after 4AM in the morning, man.

But yeah, just hope that things can be back to normal soon, so that I can get back to my own research and work as well.👌

Recently we have just published the infamous M4A1 from the Girls' Frontline anime Dolls' Frontline, and the AR-10 from Metal Slug games as TFA SWEPs for Gmod.

Hey uh, how's it going?

If you noticed that I haven't really posted anything here, it's because that I feel like posting one announcement every time when I releases a new addon is a bit too much, and I feel like the announcements should be used for more important messages.

And the fact that this group doesn't really have a lot of people to be honest, but still.

I feel like I'm always stressing myself, mainly due to haven't done most of the work I've planned to do, especially on stuff like model and texture ports from either SFM workshop and other places.

I know that I've asked a lot of people if I can port their stuff, and saying how something will be made or be ported in the future, but it seems like I've overwhelmed myself with the addons and stuff, thinking that I'm making promises to other people.

It's that I have the same feelings towards those people who claims that they're going to do something, and yet they never do in the end, and it doesn't really feel well as well even if they're released eventually after several months or even years, as the hype or the following have already been lost throughout the time.

I just don't want to be like them.
