Hello again dear Steam community...

It might seem like a habit of mine to drop from the face off the world from time to time, and you'd be right about it, considering I have been working on my MA Thesis this last year. Good news is, it's done! I'll be giving my thesis defense on 12th June! I'm kinda proud of the work I've done thus far, and I hope to tell you more good news just after 12th. It has taken a toll, and I'm dead tired, but all's well that ends well.

A bit on the complicated and grim part: a month ago, I have suddenly lost any function down my right knee, and after various MRIs, I have been diagnosed with MS. I have been hospitalized and been getting a ridiculous dose of cortisone for treatment. For the last part, I'm happy to declare that there is little to none neurological loss and the function to my leg returned almost to full capacity. I'll be getting physical therapy to correct a distorted angle on my walk, and we'll be good to go. In the meanwhile, I'm waiting to hear from some labs so my neurologist can decide what immunosuppressant I'll be using for the rest of my life. But I got my last dose of cortisone yesterday, and supposedly I'm done with that part. So the hardest one is over.

From now on, I have decided to take it easy and enjoy little things for a while. For most my life, I have been a high achiever, both with school and career, sparing not enough for relaxation or enjoyment. I'm done with it. This last year has been an experience, both good and bad, but as the bottom line, it's been enlightening. For the rest of the summer, at least; I won't be working, and I'll be back on playing games and reviewing the ones that I'd like to share with you full time.

Being away this long, and facing all this in the meanwhile, I felt like I owed all of you an explanation. Thank you for being there, and listening to me.

I was away from Steam forever... Well, I won't bore you with details. It should suffice to say that we all bear responsibilities, misfortunes and deeds. After a kitchen fire, a sickness period and a crushing reading/writing list for thesis purposes, I'm here again. But for a bit of good news, I finally have a monster of a PC (yup, managed to put down enough money for a bad boy) and no excuse not to play great games! Considering my current workload, I'll be slow to play, and even slower to review possibly - God, I haven't written a review, in what, months? - but I promise you, I'll get there. For now, I've started playing Witcher series, finally - which will keep me busy for a loooong while, probably.

Just wanted to drop by and say that I love you all, and I miss my dear Steam community. Thanks for following the group and my reviews, even though I wasn't able to deliver in a long while.

Today, I have broken my hiatus: first review since a month or so. Gosh, I didn't think it would be this hard to go back to writing for fun. Now that I have time to play games during the summer - with both school and work getting lighter in weight, and finally moved and settled into my own place - and that I've managed to break my silence, I think I'll keep them coming.

Happy New Year, story lovers!

It's been a tiresome 2016 for most of us, so I sincerely wish that 2017 has been treating you better so far. I'm here to ask you a question about the content of my reviews, and all your feedback would be most welcome.

Not that far ago, Steam groups reviews got the option of "informative" and "not recommended" games to be tagged and posted accordingly. So far, I tried to keep all the reviews that I posted to group about only solid recommendations with decent enough stories, since the theme of the group would suggest that content. Yet, I play a fair bit of games without much of a story bottles within - like HOGs or Casual games - too. Would you prefer for me to post my old reviews without much great stories as informative, and while doing so post also my negative reviews tagged as "not recommended", or would you prefer me to keep this group strictly "Brilliant Stories on High Recommendation"?

Please post your preference under this announcement. Your feedback will be highly valuable since I wouldn't consider myself a pro when it comes to administrative choices.

Dear Story Lovers,

I know that I have been AWOL for sometime now, but things got a little busy on my side. Playing games on a regular basis became really hard for me. It's a luxury that I dearly miss. I'll put up a challenge for myself: I'll try and play one game a week at least - two if I've been lucky - and keep posting my curator recommendations here. It might be a bit slow, but I hope that you'll enjoy my reviews as they come nonetheless.

I've been playing Pillars of Eternity - and not much else during the little spare time I've got - so it is safe to assume a Pillars review will be posted sometime next week.
