Lower the Key Prices!

We here at Key Ko have decided that the prices of these darn things are just too damn high. We will do everything we can to lower these things to ATLEAST 5 refined. Our ultimate goal is to get them to 3 refined.

How YOU can help!
- Do not buy any keys priced at 7 ref or higher
- Raise awareness of this group
- Do your very best to buy and sell them at a lower price
- Invite everyone you know who is an active TF2 trader to this group

How did this happen?
Basically, greedy people wanting nothing more than profit are the reason why the keys are at a high price. Key prices were once at 2.33, but these people would sell them at 2.66. The people who would buy these keys would most likely sell them at an even higher price. Rinse and repeat and bam. 7 ref.

What do keys do?
Keys, (other than buying expensive items like Earbuds) are used for opening Mann Co Supply Crates. These crates are the most abundant resource in Team Fortress 2, they drop every day thousands of players world wide. The reason why people unbox in the first place is usually for the chance of scoring an Unusual Hat. Unusuals are incredibly rare hats that have an attached particle effect. These hats can be sold from 16 keys to 60 (or even higher) earbuds.
The thing about Unusuals are that they are aprox 1 in 150 chance of being unboxed. Chances are you going to use your key and turn it into a terrible strange weapon.

But why are keys effecting the economy?
Keys are one of the biggest methods of payment for items in TF2. Keys generally buy you rare weapons (Vintage Lugermorph, Festive Scattergun) or promo cosmetics (like Earbuds, Bill's Hat etc). But how does one aquire a key? You have three options.
1- Mann Co Store, where you can pick up a key at 2.49 a pop.
2- Community Marktet, where you can pick up a key for slightly less than 2.49 a pop
3- Trade Servers, where you can pay 7 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ refined metal a pop.

See the problem? The key prices are making metal virtually worthless. 12 weapons of the same class go into 1 Ref. 12 x 7 = 84. That's 84 weapons for 1 key, which is completely stupid.

So please, invite as many people as you can to this group and help lower key prices before it destroys this game!
