ABOUT Heavy Boxing Tournaments

Summary of rules for "[Heavy Boxing Tournament Server] Compete for Pots of Ref and Keys"

How to enter:

1. Tournaments take place whenever there are 4, 6, or 8 participants available to play, and an admin present on the server. (Current admins are Country-Steak: Sauce and King Allen, both of whom can prove that they're genuine - never assume that somebody is an admin without proof.)

2. The deposit required to enter a tournament is determined by majority player vote shortly before the tournament is due to start. You can only participate if you are willing to pay the deposit, otherwise you are welcome to watch in spec.

3. An admin will invite you to trade in order to collect your deposit. Collection of deposits begins only when there are at least 4 participants ready to play. (If a tournament is suddenly unable to go ahead for whatever reason, any deposits already made will be refunded).

How to fight:

1. Participants are selected two at a time by an admin to fight it out. The winner of each round goes onto the next one, until two finalists emerge and one of them wins the tournament.

2. You must enter the ring as a Heavy with the default fists equipped, and stand in your team-colored corner.

3. When it's time to fight, the admin will issue the message "FIGHT!" in the center of the screen. (Random crits are enabled!)

4. You will automatically be disqualified if you either leave the ring during a fight, suicide during a fight, use any weapon other than the Heavy's default fists, or begin fighting before being told to do so.

Winnings:

1. If you win a tournament, you will receive a percentage of the total pot depending on how many participants took part in the tournament; 85% for a tournament of 4 or 6 players, and 90% for a tournament of 8 players. The remaining percentage is a cut taken by the admins.

2. A player who has already won two tournaments on a given day is not permitted to play again until the following day; this is to prevent any potentially dominant players "raking it in" and allowing no chance for others to win.

3. An admin will invite you to trade in order to reward you with your winnings.

Troublemakers:

1. Every tournament is recorded, and every connected player's Steam ID is noted.

2. If you are caught not playing by the rules or interfering with a tournament in any way, or are deemed by an admin to be cheating, you will be immediately and permanently banned with no refund of your deposit if you have made one.
