Also you should add halo to your steam library by:

#1 Press "Add a Game..." Button in the bottom left corner on steam
#2 Click "Add a non Steam Game..."
#3 Browse and find your "Halo" folder
#4 Click "DewritoUpdater" and click add game to steam
#5 Right click it in steam and go Properties and rename it "Halo 3 PC"
#6 Enjoy game on steam it helps spread the word :)
