Que up with people to avoid matchmaking errors.

Press [C] on the map/cost select screen, and you can invite people.
Press [C] again when they're in to start searching for game.

Join a clan, it gives DP and tokens.
Right arrow in bootcamp to pick clan chat channel, hold [Z] to chat.

Also use steam group chat.

be mindful of suit level, suits above lvl1 are usually not worth it, but could be good if you know what youre doing, what youre building for with parts, and what skills the suit gains with level ups. (like a 20 000hp stack 300point lvl5 ZakuII that gets a balancer).

dont plant the bomb right off the bat and dont run around as a pilot, its usually a waste of time, you are leaving your team one man behind.
if you DO plant do it later in the game, bombing cost goes up when clock hits 2 minutes left. if you plant, plant when its at least 2:59 before game end so it blows up at 1:59 and gives you more points).

there is no friendly fire (other than airstrikes), but you can stagger teammates, so when you have teammate in front of you, be mindful. as well as when you are fighting, especially in melee, try to boost sideways after your combo to clear line of sight for your teammates to shoot at the downed enemy.

go to graphics options and turn on "Auto Enlarge HUD", it will make your minimap larger as well, which is useful.

also save up your tokens/tickets/kits.
do half off rolls, or roll for the suit that you like.
press [TAB] on the gacha screen to see the droptable and droprates.

to see if recycle shop item is available for DP, select it and press [Z], if it has a rank requirement, it means you can buy it for DP.

put things you like into the hangar, it gives you equipment unlock points for that suit, doesnt cost anything (if you dont speed it up with tickets) and doesnt limit playing the suit. save up for favorite suits in the future.

to fix [2] being weapon cycling while boosting, bind slot [2] to [`] (so you have access to pilot bazooka, its not rebindable for some reason), and bind slot [8] to [2]. just dont forget to configure your weapon slots on the suits afterwards.
also part profiles remember your weapon slots too so dont mess yourself up by cycling presets.
