Discuss DM XP and skill roll guidelines

We'd like to set guidelines for two common issues: how much XP a Dungeon Master should hand out, and what skill rolls to use. Both should have some sort of standard, so they're not 100% subjective--although, inevitably, they will be. I'd like to hear input from anyone who'd like to have a say, staff or player, player or non-player. Please, feel free to say what you think!
