Welcome to the official GiveawayOfTheDay.com Steam group. Membership is open to whomever would like to join and we encourage everyone to join. To all new members. Just in case you thought this was another of those Steam groups that give away Steam codes; it's not. It's related to the giveawayoftheday project that started back in October 2006 and the game giveaway project that started Dec 2006. We've been very quite for the past few years, but I'm hoping to start up some servers once things have settled down at home. Games I'm hoping to include (some non Steam games included) will be Half Life 2: Deathmatch, Unreal Tournament 3, ArmA II & 3, Just Cause II Online, Elder Scrolls Online, Battlefield 3 & 4 plus several other multiplayer games that I'll be adding here soon.

If you have any suggestions for playing other games together please post in the comments. Thank you.

Group resurrection

It's taken me a long time to get to this stage, but at last things are moving a little. A small group of the founder members have been playing fairly regularily over the past three or four months; mainly Left 4 Dead 2 and Killing Floor, with a sprinkling of Half Life 2 Deathmatch and a few other games such as Sanctum 2 and ArmA II. There's a couple of hundred coop games we could play as well as a few multiplayer non coop games such as HL2: Deathmatch and Unreal Tournament 3.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know and we can try and get a group together to play the game.

Superbowl on the 7th Feb then Valentines on the 14th, so decided it would be better if we meet on the 21st February. Please let me know if this date is going to be a problem. We could have it on the 20th if you wish. :)

cont from previous post...... I purchased 15 hard copies of the game via ebay weeks before it was announced that it was going to be released on Steam after the original rights were bought from Vivendi last year). The idea was to give these to interested parties joining the group. At the time I didn't realize there were other active groups for this game. The only one I found didn't appear to be playing Men of Valor at all, but some modifications for other games.

Things are still up in the air, but I am hoping in the not too distant future to become a little more active with this and the other two froups. :)

I realise this group hasn't seen any activity recently. I am looking for community members interested in playing coop games. At this point I just want to play with friends, so any game they are interested in i'll be happy to join in. Please message me. If I'm offline, or appear to be, I will reply when I see your messages.

The group was originally started by an old friend Wizzard of Zo, who decided about 5 years ago to retire from the group as well as other area's we shared and left me in sole charge. Unfortunately due to various medical problems, legal issues with builders etc (I was ripped off for over £45 000, I've been so distracted I've not had the time to keep this or the other two groups I formed. A hawkwind dedication group - one of my favorite cult bands of the 1970's, who I saw at least 20 times over two decades, plus another group dedicated to the game Men of Valor - continued .....

I'm also hoping to play other games such as America's Army and maybe even some Call of duty, but not sure yet. If enough are interested, i'll consider hiring a server as the company I use allow extra games to be added to the one I already rent.

Please post details of any coop and/or multiplayer games you'd be interested in playing.

I've been ill lately, so haven't been setting up any games to play. Hopefully in the new year I will start to send out invites to various games. The following are ones I would like us all to get involved in. (Assuming you have the games):

ArmA II and ArmA 3, Half Life 2 Deathmatch, Unreal Tournament 3, Battlefield 2, Shattered Horizon, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, Sanctum 2, Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, Killing Floor, plus several other.

Basically most games will be played in Co-op, but some games like Shattered Horizon, UT3 and HL2: Deathmatch are obviously straight multiplayer games, with Team Deathmatch or Deathmatch options, though I think you can also play cooperatively with friends against bots (not played it in 3 years, so have forgotten).

Hi Guys, sorry for the late reply. Things are developing slowly, but we now have a Team speak server up and we are going to rent a server soon. Killing Floor and possuibly one other game, though we've not decided on the game yet.

Thanks for your post txnnok, will see if any of the guys who have been playing recently are interested.

If you are interested in playing with us on our server (for Killing Floor and possibly one other game) as well as playing other coop games such as Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, Kane & Lynch 2, Sanctum 2, Half Life 2 DeathMatch etc let me know. We generally play a couple of times a week, as and when friends can make it . You are very welcome to join in anmytime. That goes for anyone else in the group who reads this..

Do you have the first Pay Day game. some of the guys only have the first game.
