My online mate has been very persistent with Activision and has managed to persuade them to re-activate their servers!

IMPORTANT:
- You need a Serial Key to be able to play online
(Grab some off Ebay or something)

- Only one account can be playing online at the same time
(as the serial key is tied to it, even if there are 5)

- All old keys work again

- They can be shared to 5 people
