[GGC] Several points to address! Please read!

Greetings, everyone.

I had originally planned on making several topics for what I'm about to address, but we have so much going on that I figured it'd be easier to make an announcement addressing it all in one spot. Without beating around the bush, let's jump right into it.

For anyone who's unaware, Cougarmint and I have spent a significant amount of time streamlining and reconstructing the Dojo. Our main goals were to cut down on our room usage as well as provide a more pleasing experience in what is supposed to be our home base.

To that end, we've overhauled the third and fourth floors. The "ring" surrounding the main hall on the third floor has been taken out to simplify the layout. As for the fourth, and top, floor - we have constructed a ceremonial/garden floor layout with several paths for fluidity of movement.

As far as construction goes, we're more or less finished at this point. We've got a fair bit of redecorating to do, as well as some pigment research to finish before we start repainting. I encourage anyone who's curious to go ahead and check it out yourself, let us know what you think so far.


Next up, I'd like to put a short word in for my good friends at Ethereal Net. I know several people here have been looking for a Starbound server, and we've discussed renting out our own private server in the past. Unfortunately, that plan fell through.

However, the people behind the Minecraft server I help administrate have been spreading their roots a bit. Thanks to them, there is now a fresh, stable server being hosted and available for public play on Starbound. Vanilla, no strings attached.

Any rules we have here extend to this server as well. Please be respectful of your fellow players, as well as their property/creations.

We've been busy working on our clan's infrastructure these past few weeks in several ways, as well.

First, Saint-Icon has been gracious enough to work on developing a new emblem for us, which will be presented to the group as soon as it's ready for voting.

Second, Saint-Icon, Interdiction, and I have been discussing the prospect of a new name for ourselves for a while now. As it stands, Generosity can come across as a bit cliche and in your face at times, if not a bit pretentious.

The alternative that we've put forward is Humanitas - for kindness, culture, community, human nature, etc.

This is by no means a definitive decision, however it's an issue that's on the table for the clan's future, and we'd appreciate your input. Please go here for a poll on our clan name. [strawpoll.me]

Finally, thanks to Cougarmint, we now have a personal forum. Our main concern with the Steam group is that it's difficult to find, clunky, and somewhat restrictive. To address that, Cougar has been kind enough to create an alternative that is hopefully more streamlined, accessible, and easier to memorize and advertise in the MotD.
