A major content update to Chivalry has been released to celebrate 1.2 million copies sold. Details are below:

* Server browser fixes!(Tabs works better, favorites work better, browser now uses the Steamworks library optimally and is less likely to make your router cry, etc)
* Tavern map length reduced to 10 minutes.
* Stamina drain from successfully parrying attacks slightly reduced.
* Vanguard primary weapon knockback values toned down.
* Two-hander flinch duration down from 1.1 to 1.0.
* Special daze duration down from 2 to 1.8.
* Crossbow projectile speeds are lower, and the difference between light and heavy crossbow is less drastic.
* Corrected Bardiche sprint attack being .15 faster than other sprint attacks.
* Flail overhead windup from .55 to .5.
* Heavy Flail overhead windup from .6 to .55.
* Spear slash windup from .425 to .475.
* Spear stab windup from .575 to .6.
* Brandistock slash windup from .45 to .5.
* Brandistock stab windup from .55 to .6.
* Fixed the attack grunt sound sometimes desyncing and playing after a late feint server-side.
* Fixed several map exploits.
* Fixed flinch disabling dodge if it occurs in an attack windup.
* Fixed counterattacks maintaining a parry box and blocking attacks during your counter.
* Fixed movement slow persisting after canceling a bow draw.
* Fixed crossbow forced reload after being hit.
* Fixed rebinding primary attack breaking the scoreboard keybind.
* Fixed some broken assets on various maps (missing collision/textures/etc.)
* Fixed missing Norse Sword icon and Falchion model in weapon select.
* Fixed the furthest target in the archer tutorial being unhittable.
* Fixed peasants spawning with weapons
* Fixed peasant death animations
* Fixed peasant hats turning into helmets when shot off with arrows
* Fixed objective labels (Mason messages were being display for Agatha objectives)

Torn Banner is beta testing the first major game patch. The patch notes and details are below:

This is a BETA and there may still be bugs and issues we have not found in our internal testing. We will only be hosting server(s) that are located in Virginia (US East) so if you do not get decent pings to that location, it is recommended you wait for the official release! You will not be able to have both the beta and the official version of the game in your game list at the same time -- switching between the two versions will incur downloads of up to 1GB.

Slots are limited as we can only host a limited number of servers!

If you have read the above and still wish to test the beta, please following these instructions:
1) Right Click "Chivalry: Medieval Warfare" on your game list
2) Hit Properties
3) Click on the "Betas" tab
4) In the dropdown menu, select the "Beta" branch. You should see "Successfully opted into the 'Beta' content beta.
5) Close the window and the next time you go to launch the game, Steam will automatically begin to download the update.

If you wish to go back to the release build, follow the above steps, except in the drop-down menu, select "NONE - Opt out of all beta programs."

Hello Everyone!

Release week was completely insane - we are very happy with the interest in the game so far and even managed to hold the #1 sales spot on both Steam and Gamer’s Gate at various points throughout the week! We are very pleased that the game is being received so well and could not be more motivated to keep working on it as a result. We have a bunch of new content in the works for you but first we have to get to the fixes as we know there are some bugs that are holding some people back from enjoying the game. So, just 6 days after the release of our game we are announcing that:

We will be releasing the first hotfix tomorrow at 9AM PST.

Changes:

• Removed stats reset and improved rank/unlock system reliability (weapon unlocks will no longer reset)
  
• Fixed crash with server browser
  
• Fixed exploits.
  
• Auto-Team Balance on by default in all official servers
  
• Auto-Team Balance changes to give you notification and not count as death
  
• Fixed being able to join servers that were already full and overload them
  
• Now can only see game servers that are running the same version of the game as you are
  
  We also want to make it clear- this is a hotfix, not a patch. So we know there are still bugs we need to fix and we are working on them, keep in mind its only been 6 days since release. Bugs suck and are frustrating, we understand and we are doing what we can to fix them! Further patches and updates are still coming - thank you for your patience and understanding.
