Since Nitro's server will be down for a while, DarkHouse has been awesome enough to buy our own official private server just for custom map fridays. Nitro has also been nice enough to help get it working with the same setup that his server had. This guarantees:

1. Little to no server-side lag (we've personally tested it ourselves to see how much insanity it can handle at a time).
2. Average to good pings for everyone (based on his or her connection), since its situated in Chicago, which should benefit both east coasters, west coasters, and Canadians alike.
3. Having the server up and running whenever we need it with all the maps we've done and plan on doing again, so we can just get on and play whichever map we want. We will also be using it for testing campaigns as well.
4. No silly server-side mods except for a very balanced version of survivor crawl which is useful for incapacitated survivors getting out of buggy places they shouldn't be, or that teammates should have access to.

I hope everyone had a nice relaxing holiday. If you've been wondering why there haven't been events the past two weeks, by some strange freakydeaky coincidence, one landed right on Christmas Eve, and one smack dab on New Years Eve. But the holidays are over (for most people anyways), and we're back in action. This week its Carried Off and Slope, two favorites from a while ago that we've been getting requests to do again. Since its Christmas Eve, and we're waiting on the completion of LordNitro & Heartless's Run to the Hills campaign, we figured we'd take a break this week since most of us are going to be busy with other festivities tonight. Hey peoples,

[TSF]LordNitro has been kind enough to allow us to use his custom campaign server for our group starting this friday! The server is located in Seattle and looks like it covers a wide range adequately, even for you east coasters, so no lag spikes like the ones we've been getting hosting locally. The only game-mod on the server is survivor crawl, so you don't have to worry about any crazy mobile smokers or flying spitters that we've seen while looking for a server via Best Available Dedicated Search.

Hey folks,

Just looking to get some recommendations from the community on pricing for renting "biggest-bang-for-the-buck" dedicated servers. Hearing some frustration from the group on some of our games which would be alleviated. Please PM me or post here if you have any references, needs to be done on-the-cheap because most of us are broke. :)
