The Days of War Realism Community

This group is for realism players involved or about to be involved in the game "Days of War" expected to hit early release in January 2017 and final release in Q3 or Q4 2017.

PURPOSE OF THIS STEAM GROUP

Realism players hailing from the Day of Defeat series once banded together to form their seperate community within the Day of Defeat community. They did so by creating their own community website, leagues, in game scripts/mods, discussions and divisions.

We plan to use that as our foundation with this group to begin organizing ourselves with contributions from eachother willing to volunteer their time to form such a community again and allow us a main platform to conduct community operations with eachother on a single platform instead of having us scattered in the wind and hard to track down.

If you are new to this sort of thing you may find that like many who are coming from the Day of Defeat series, these types of communities are of great benefit and entertainment once surrounded by like minded individuals.

New Steam Tool for Units you my not know about

Just a FYI for recruiters out there for your units:

Steam has added a new option for Private Steam Groups for admins.

The new option allows for anyone outside of the group to request to join your group. From there, you will see a lit of people who have used this option.

This may lead to another form of ways to enlist for some units out there.

Just thought I'd share that with you guys.

- In other news, Days of War is supposed to relase some "Mega Update" this month. Who knows if they will, but I think then likleyhood that they will re-add ADS or reconform plans on making a seperate Realism Mode are definitly not in the plans.

Good news for those who don't mind the default game style I guess.

DOW Realism Community to shut down

With the recent changes and direction Days of War is going, the future intentions of it having a realism mode included or as much mod support we all hoped for does not appear to have the same level of garuntee as what was stated during the time of the games foundation on Kickstarter while speaking to developers.

As such, taking the massive amount of time and resources to create and maintain a Realism Community for Days of War no longer appears warrented and I have decided to remove any auto-renew financial burdens to help keep the realism community going.

I do hope future mod support will be enought that others will be able to add, however, I just do not see this game as no longer having what would had been a very significant chunk of it's player base in mind anymore and as such will not give future realism players enough resourses to make anything out of it to the level that they should expect.

I myself am also planning to leave DOW so the clan lists will not be carried over and maintained.
