hello guys! huge DOD 1.3 CLASSIC fan here. does someone still plays DOD BETA 1.3 ? I've recently read the whole game thread made by SpecialistK on the original DOD CLASSIC forum and I was just amazed by how this game was in the past era! If there's someone somewhere still playing it (are there internet servers out there?), I'd love to know. Best regards!

I have a server up at 72.230.217.139:27015 that I've played with friends the last two weekends. Currently have 27 maps, fast dl working, and amxmod. Anyone here still playing/interested?

RIP clean old 56k worthy dod beta. Retail came out and the models were so ugly and the kar98k was so nerfed and the crosshair was so rediculous i had to change them back to 3.1 models. That didint mean that the para_ maps were going to come back or dod_zafod dod_overlord maps were ever going to come back :( dod_charlie is not anything near the same as overlord.

@256 colors. BTW the WON2 website (steamlesscsproject) is down. I thought it was being transitioned over to NeuWON but that site is down too. Was wondering if you knew anything about it. The WON2 master servers are still working (I connected by 1.3b server up to it a week ago). Luckily I have all the files backed up locally (and there is a page on moddb).

@256 colors. Yep I'll definitely be writing up some guides on using WON2. I wanted to start with Steam and Beta 3.1 since setup is easier than using that method (and keeps everyone on Steam). If this gains enough interest I'll try moving people over to WON2 and we can play some DoD Beta 1.3b! Thanks for add!

Alternative use the WON2 method this will work with both two versions of Sturmbot and clients as dedicated public server for more info do a YouTube search

I'm planning a community event soon once I test out my server with some friends.

BTW Half-Life 1 is currently on the Steam Summer Sale for $2.49 so I recommend you go buy if you are interested in playing (that's the only purchase you'll need to make as DoD 3.1 is free).

I've setup my server as well, got AMX Mod X working, though can't seem to get map voting working correctly.
