Nostalrius RIP

My god. I completely forgot about this group. Who is still around? Anyone on Pservers or TBC who isn't currently in our guild?

As an aside, when I said "All gear/xp/money gained will **NOT** transfer over to the new server", I mean the stuff that people playing on the Elysium server earn from now until when Nost 2.0 is released. All of your Nostalrius money/gear/xp **WILL** be transferred with your character.

Anybody else learns anything, feel free to add it.

For all those confused, Elysium released in August (I think), but the partnership with Nost is new.

From my understanding, this is how things will turn out:

- All Elysium progress has been saved and frozen as of today. All gear/xp/money gained will **NOT** transfer over to the new server.

- All Nost character data has been kept. It was saved **BEFORE** the announcement for the server shutdown was made, so **IF YOU DELETED YOUR CHARACTER AFTER THE SHUTDOWN ANNOUNCEMENT, YOU SHOULD STILL BE ABLE TO PLAY ON THEM ON THE NEW SERVER**. PvP and PvE servers will remain separate, I believe.

- The new server will be using Nost's code. All Elysium characters will be transfered to this new server. If they share a name with a Nost character, the character from Elysium will have to change their name, meaning **YOU WILL KEEP YOUR CHARACTER NAME**. They are also working on something for people who have two of the same account names, but I'm not 100% on the details other than it seems they might just change the account name on the Elysium account.

- Release date is currently unknown, as they just received the data today and are working on all of this so be patient. An AMA is scheduled with the team on November 13th at 9PM (I think) on the subreddit /r/wowservers, so check that out for more details.
