My Best Games of the Year 2021 list has been posted. I found several old reviews of games that were no longer relevant, in order to make room for the new ones. Not a comprehensive list, but there are some gems in there. Enjoy!

Review Cap Update

The update is that there is no update. I check every day. I created a support ticket over a month ago, they said just delete reviews, but they would alert the team. I have done that for specific cases, which involves scrolling through 80 pages of reviews and finding one to delete, so that I can post a new review. I broke Steam in this way, once before, and they did increase the cap for me, so I am still hopeful. It's frustrating, but there is not much I can do. I may try posting to the forums, to see it gets more tracks, but as of right now, I cannot submit review #2001. Sorry, peoples. :(

Hello. I love reading your reviews and trying out interesting new games. There's one game that I saw on steam recently, that looks like absolutely incredible mix of dungeon crawl and punch out, but I am afraid it might not be what I expect of it. I was surprised that you haven't had review of it. it's called "Fight Knight". Could you look at it please? thank you

Nice recommendations. Never heard of Starsector- seems high quality.
FPS is my favorite genre, but I have still yet to plunge into Tarkov. One Day...

Quake is more my speed. :)

Another great non-Steam game is Escape from Tarkov. I've been playing it for months and it's a blast, if you like shooting people in the face and collecting shinies. You can order it direct from Battlestate Games, out of Mother Russia.

Since you all went the extra mile, here's a pro-tip if you want something well off the beaten path. This complete madman, named adamantyr, developed a game for the TI99/4a computer, from the eighties. It actually works on the original hardware, but you can also just play the PC version. I've been playing it all month and it's supposed to cap out at 200 hours. It's an RPG called Realms of Antiquity: the Shattered Crown. It's as basic as it gets, so it's not for everyone, but I love it.
