Our clan logo and forum[dftb-clan.com] have been revamped, with last night seeing the final tweaks made. This has been about a month or so in the making, and so I'm elated to see it go live.

To help mark this special occasion, I'd like to share a bit of the meaning/thought that's gone into this:



Halo's red & blue team system often sees us divided in competitive fun, but, off the track, we're one family, which the choice of purple is meant to symbolize. This is especially fitting in 2021, as social distancing has ironically seen the world come together.

Additionally, if you know me, you know I'm partial to anything retro-/synthwave, which serves as a love letter to times past; we lean somewhat in this direction, influencing the hue/shade of purple we've gone with, as an homage to our years long history, just shy of two decades, now. For added fun, we've included a retro sunset version of our logo in our forum's avatar gallery, among other new additions.


The font used is called "Vitesse," which is French for "speed"—a fitting choice for a Halo racing clan. I also felt like the italic letters bear a connotation of speed, in how they tilt forward… but, just as well a signal of our intent to stick it out, together, onward through it all.
