FINALLY GOT THE GAME WORKING :)

Ok I want to start off this review by saying the game didn't even work for me until today and I still get 10 fps when on a planet. I also want to say this game is another reason why steam should have a neutral button. I can't recommend the game to some people but can recommend it to other people as well, this game is all personal preference. Now me I don't like this game, will get into later in the review. Now I spent about 2 hours in game and have gotten a hyper drive have traded with aliens and have learned alien words and have done many things included in the game so keep this in mind when reading this, I stopped playing as I want a refund and the game won't start now anyways so I won't spend time fixing this.

Overview:

The game is a space, scifi, exploration game in which you have to explore a procedurally generated universe and get to the center of the "universe". Now this all seems very cool when you first read it and you must be thinking right off the bat there must be side quests and cool discoverys you can make along the way. This is what every person who bought this game thought however this is not the case. There are no side missions however you can discover "cool" secrets along the way to the center of the universe however the secrets really aren't interesting. Every colony and space station looks the same in this game. I have visited multiple colonies and multiple space stations and they all look the same. (They all look like the ones in the trailers.) The colonies are all textured the same. I honestly don't mind if the space stations and colonies look the same however if you were to call these colonies secrets or discoveries well you need to make them look a little different.

The game:

When you jump into No Man's Sky you will be blown away by all the animals and lush life on the planet. There are a plethera of caves and places you can explore in this game and they actually look quite nice. I spent a lot of time just exploring the planet I started on. You will begin on a planet no one has discovered and you will have to repair your ship and leave the planet. You gather some resources and repair your ship and leave the planet. Now this is where you realize that the entire game is really just mining resources.You will go planet to planet getting resources to repair and upgrade you ship and it all just gets a bit boring. After playing for almost an hour I got bored fast. Now I thought maybe trading is fun. I went to the nearest space station and traded some items and realised that I could use some money to upgrade my ship or buy a new one. I needed to mine resources. "UHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I said in my head. After gathering several loads of resources I went to trade them and bought a new ship. WOW, is that the game. I tought to myself what will happen if I get to the center of the universe? When I finish the game will I be able to do anything else? Now after that my game crashed and I tryed to boot it up again and it would not work once again.

Conclusion:
Don't get me wrong I just loved exploring the planets and cave systems they had. Usually I force myself to play at least 10 hours to be able to write a review however I could not get my game working so here it is.

Pros:
-Planets
-Life
-Trading system
-Upgrades were fun

Cons:
-Game is broken(FPS, game crashing)
-Not multiplayer(I'm fine with playing singleplayer however the dev said you could play online)
-Gets boring after an hour or two.
-Game gets annoying(Makes you refuel life support after being a planet for one minute)
-PRICE IS SO HIGH

Was this game overhyped? Yes. Was is it a good game? It depends.
The games price is to high and it acts like an AAA game however is has little to no fun features(all you do is resource hunt) At this point I can't recommend this game. It's hard to say this but the game was overhyped and now I realized quickly that many features that should be in the game aren't in the game(basebuilding, multiplayer)

Thanks for reading my review and please keep in mind that this game could be for you as exploring will be one of the reasons why I will keep playing this game however if you get bored easily and hate doing one thing then this is not for you. Just remember exploring in this game could be hard as you do have to collect a lot of resources to actually explore(to refuel your ship and life support)
