Greetings all. By this point we have all expressed interest and availability for playing next week but I have run into a bit of a puzzle. I have TWO different adventures I'd like to run with you fine folks. I'll post a bit about both and let you decide. I hope to eventually play both but for now we need to choose one.

1) Oft considered the most infamous of modules from the Advanced D&D era this adventure constructed by Gary Gygax himself is the ultimate test of dungeoneering skill. Built to challenge the skill of expert players and to test players who boasted of having mighty player characters able to best any challenge. More of a thinking man’s dungeon the combat will be strategic and traps will be abundant. Can you solve the tomb’s unrelenting tricks and deceptions to reach your goal?
We will play this (with Colin’s permission) using our characters from the evil campaign. This session will NOT be cannon to the actual evil campaign but gives you a chance to stretch the legs of our most memorable characters.

2) You know how stuff like "rocket tag", "random character generation", "railroading", "unrepentant TPKs", "limited source selection" and "poorly balanced houserules" are considered bad form at best? I present you gentleman with “The Meat-Grinder: now with reduced life expectancy”. From the depths of the filthiest DM forums these rules restrictions for character construction and play challenge you to complete ANY level 1 module (in our case “The Temple of Elemental Evil”). I leave you with the rules and a quote from the creator:

- Ability scores are determined by rolling 3d6 in order, according to the Random Average Characters rule in the DMG.
- You roll for HP on your first HD.
- Death occurs at 0, not -10.
- Starting gold is determined randomly, according to the PHB guidelines. You may buy no more than 1d6 items.
- The allowed sources are the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, and the Monster Manual.
- Critical puns. Every time you cast a spell, roll 1d20. On a result of 1 or 20, we find a pun relating to the name of the spell. On a 1, this is bad for your character, on a 20, it is good for your character.
- Character death must be celebrated and viewed as an opportunity to try a new character.
- You roll randomly on the following table to determine your race and class.
