Thanks for coming in. Have a seat. We’re gonna be here for a bit, so, Jeff, why don’t you get our guest a drink? Take one for yourself, too. Okay, two. Three… fine, Jeff, take the whole 12 pack. Lush.

We’re here to talk games, movies and, hell, anything else that crosses our pretty little Critical minds. The primary goal of Critically Sane is to discuss games and movies in a smart, funny and honest way. This means we’ll play, watch, review, analyze, podcast, livestream and anything else we can do to interact with you (Tony… put down the taser… that’s not what we meant). Oh yeah, and we’ll buy you a drink. Assuming there are any left.

We’re only a small group, but we stand behind what we’ve put together and what we say (and behind Don’s epic beard). We hold our integrity high, and work hard to give our readers, listeners and watchers the best product we can. We’re here, not to make the big bucks, but to tell you what we think, and to hear what you have to say. If you think Chris’ hatred of condiments is weird, then by God, we want to give you a forum to share.

So this is our place: Critically Sane. Yes, we’re a little crazy, but we’re good people, talking about the things we love with each other and with you. We’re glad you stopped by.

September was a month of learning for us at Critically Sane. We struggled a bit in getting some of our review content out in a timely manner because we were focusing on our regular content. What it taught us was that we sometimes have to say no to covering certain titles and we have to curate our content a little better to not put as much pressure on ourselves. That said, your comments on our articles helped push us forward with confidence that it wasn’t all being done for nothing. So while the entries for the September drawing are being placed in the magic drawing hat (come back Friday for that reveal), we want to lay out what we have for your continued engagement in the sites articles.

Starting today we kick off the October Community Comment Lottery and the winner of said lottery will get a retail copy of the standard edition of Batman: Arkham Origins (up to $60) on the platform of their choosing. All you have to do is comment on our content and you’ll get an entry into the lottery. Every comment is worth one ticket, so, the more you engage with us (and others) on the site, the more chances you have to win something cool. Lottery entries cease at 11:59 PM October 31, 2013 and the winner will be revealed during the first week of November.

But as always, the comment lottery isn’t the only way to win stuff from us. We currently have two other community giveaways to engage in. First, if you are a PC gamer or just want a forum to discuss stuff, join our Steam Community Group and when we hit 50 members, one lucky member will get a free game from Chris’s Steam Inventory. And lastly, if you have a Facebook account, give our page a Like and when we hit 100 Likes, one lucky member will get a gift card to one of the following gaming outlets (PSN/Xbox Live/Nintendo E-shop/Steam/Google Play/iTunes/Amazon).

Finally unveiling the site to everyone was a great weight off our shoulders and everyone that participated in the community discussions really helped to bolster our confidence.
