Bloody Backstabbing Goodness

Hi all,

Excellent game yesterday! Despite a few hiccups with the mechanics and players (turn timers, hybrid turns, and sleepy Czars), the game so far is a success.

Conflicts arose along the Medina strait between Arabia and Austria, with Austrian troops razing the city of Medina to the ground. This was followed by a rapid border expansion of Austria to take the majority of the strait. A crisis in Genoa followed, causing the Babylonians to invade the borders of Austria with their superior forces. To ensure the safety of Vienna, Austria relinquished the city of Graz, and thus their control of the strait, to Arabia to ensure peace between them and the Babylonians. In more peaceful news, the world congress has been founded and is under the watchful eye of the neutral Greeks. The Venetians compete with the Babylonians for influence over the small northern states such as Colombo. The Romans remain neutral throughout the back and forth of world affairs; the sleeping giant has yet to be bothered. The Egyptian forces have marched into Yaroslavl, raising the Egyptian flag atop the once Russian monuments.

We will continue our game next week at 3pm (EST)/ 9am (HST) on Sunday, September 7th. Hope to see you all there!
