Glory to Gaben

Time for me to be serious about something for a few minutes. Everyone has seen the threads, posts, articles and all about Robin Williams passing. While I too am sad about the loss of a great comedian and actor, I'm infuriated about the reception he has gotten.

Perhaps I'm not putting this in the right way, but what infuriates me is that unless a celebrity dies no one gives a ♥♥♥♥ about the big problem that was going on behind the scenes. Many of us have known friends and or family that has succumb to suicide, drug addiction, depression etc. These problems are experienced every single day by millions of people around the world, yet until a celebrity dies its just business as usual, or another unfortunate response of "he/she was weak, the world is better off".

There is no reason why we need to be like this. For God sakes, if you see someone in trouble reach out to them. It's the little things in life that keep us going and until we realize that every life is important it will continue to be business as usual.
In conclusion there is a famous quote from Joseph Stalin. "The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of millions is nothing more than a statistic". It is not my intention to upset anyone by this post, but I feel it is something that needs to be said, there is no reason to keep this subject taboo.
