RECENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Equinox Expansion is Now Live
To celebrate the launch of Equinox, all capsuleers can now claim 7 free days of Omega by visiting the New Eden Store (offer available until 20 June).

Seize control as EVE Online: Equinox[www.eveonline.com], the first major expansion of 2024, goes live.

NULLSEC RISES
The Equinox expansion aims to to make null security space more meaningful and active[www.eveonline.com], endowed with more customization options for content and activities, and creating topology. Star systems are seeing impactful changes, with planets now being integral to each system's function, dictating their strategic importance.

Equinox empowers capsuleers to shake up the status quo in nullsec with the introduction of major new Upwell structures. The orbital skyhook replaces and retains the customs office's function and enables the extraction of new colony resources. These structures are tempting for the criminal element, introducing a periodic risk of encountering a Pirate Orbital Blockade, which can lead to rewards in ISK as well as enhanced defensive rating for the solar system. Blueprints for the orbital skyhook will be available upon the launch of Equinox.

The sovereignty hub is replacing the territorial claim unit and the infrastructure hub on 20 June, thereby enhancing sovereignty management, upgrade mechanics, and gameplay in capsuleer-controlled systems. Its key feature is sovereignty upgrades, allowing alliances to improve and customize their space by detecting previously undiscovered ores or new, harder combat anomalies. All existing infrastructure hubs will be visually represented by the new sovereignty hub model (including name and description) on expansion day, but the window to transition to the new functionality will start on 20 June and remain open until November.

The expansion introduces three new colony resources: Power, workforce, and reagents. These are required to fuel the various upgrades available to the sovereignty hub, impacting the customization options available in that territory.

Another deployable structure in Equinox is the Metenox moon drill, powered by fuel blocks and reagents. It can be deployed at moons in lowsec, nullsec, and wormhole space, and while less efficient than manual extraction, it automatically collects the resources obtained from mining and refining moon ore. Metenox blueprints will be available from 13 June.

You can start building all the sovereignty upgrades as soon as the expansion launches, and the moon drills once the blueprints become available. You will then have a few days to strategize and start gathering reagents, so you can power them up as soon as their respective systems go live. With the Equinox suite, Upwell[www.upwellconsortium.com] sets out to redefine the strategic importance of system locations within the universe. It enables capsuleers to shape sovereign space in their image and bring added control to their territories.

Transports with Teeth
The Equinox expansion introduces a formidable lineup of new Upwell industrial ships[www.eveonline.com], enhancing the fleet capabilities of capsuleers venturing into the resource-rich expanses of nullsec.
  • The Squall, a base Tech I hauler.
  • The Deluge, a sleek Tech II blockade runner variation of the Squall.
  • The Torrent, a robust deep space transport.
  • The Avalanche freighter, the largest ship from Upwell.

Each is equipped with a large infrastructure hold, able to store essential items for owning and upgrading sovereign space. Despite their primary role as industrial ships, all four boast considerable missile firepower for their size, to deter potential aggressors keen on plundering their valuable cargo.

New Colors for New Eden
Equinox also brings new hues to New Eden through SKINR for ships[www.eveonline.com], which empowers you to craft your unique identity and make each ship a true statement of expression through the design of unique custom SKINs. The possibilities are vast: from adorning your own ships or strengthening the collective identity of your group to embarking on a new creative career.

Offering a robust palette of design elements as well as extensive customization options, capsuleer creativity will truly explode. With SKINR you can move, rotate, and resize patterns, as well as colorize distinct sections of your ship, ensuring even the smallest tweaks create stunning, unique outcomes.

“This is the beginning of a colorful new era for New Eden,” Paragon’s cybernetic liaison, IRIS, said in an official announcement. She added that you can already acquire colors and patterns in the Paragon Hub to fuel your creations, and on 20 June the Hub will extend to trading sequenced SKINs, giving capsuleers time to craft amazing SKINs to sell.

To celebrate the launch, Paragon will be presenting you with daily gifts for the next 7 days, to get you off to a strong start as SKIN artists. Paragon claim this is just the beginning of SKINR for ships, and that the future is bright for this “suite of innovations that puts the power squarely where it belongs; in your hands.”

Capsuleers are encouraged to promote their designs on social media using the hashtag #SKINRShowdown. Embrace your creativity and watch it soar with SKINR!

Goal by Goal to Domination
Equinox introduces significant enhancements[www.eveonline.com] to AIR Daily Goals, adding a monthly reward track to offer more incentives for completing daily activities across all professions. This new addition includes a 12-step progression system where rewards are granted every third step, as well as two new goal types.

Equinox also brings a comprehensive update to the corporation window, with a modern and user-friendly interface. Additionally, three new types of Corporation Projects are introduced: Ship Loss, Earn Loyalty Points, and Salvaging.

[web.ccpgamescdn.com]

Various aspects of ship interactions are being refined to enhance the overall experience for capsuleers and make New Eden’s vessels and the requirements for flying them easier to understand. When you meet the requirements to activate a new ship, you will receive a notification and can navigate to the ship tree, where unlocked ships will be highlighted. The new additions make skill training and hangar management easier and more accessible than ever before.

Epic New Era for EVE Vanguard
This month will see the biggest update to EVE Vanguard since launch, with the Solstice event, running from 20 June-1 July, introducing major improvements and new content. The new additions include a brand-new map, new objectives and activities including shield-protected vaults full of loot, a mining tether to facilitate resource discovery, proximity mines, and more. You will also get your hands on weapon modifications, an exciting, newly introduced feature. Furthermore, modifications and certain inventory items will be persistent across sessions, meaning you can bring your arsenal back with you, as long as you extract it successfully.

Since December, Vanguard warclones have been taking to planet surfaces in New Eden to duke it out in human-scale combat. Monthly playtests for Founders have been instrumental in informing improvements and changes to the game, which is still in early development with the help of the player community and those who have been active on the First Strike journey can look forward to epic rewards.

The Solstice event is available to everyone with Omega status. For those eager to participate in the event and witness the exciting updates to Vanguard, you can take advantage of 7 days Omega time for free, if you claim it no later than 20 June, or purchase the Warclone Omega bundle between 20 June and 1 July.

Carrier Revolution

Equinox introduces a revolution in fleet dynamics as carriers are now empowered with the conduit jump capability, allowing them to transport up to 30 subcapital ships directly into battle. This enables smaller alliances to mobilize forces swiftly and engage in strategic maneuvers previously reserved for larger entities with titans.

In addition, carriers can now equip micro jump drives and capital micro jump field generators. These tools enhance battlefield control, offering the ability to reposition fleets and disrupt enemy formations with unprecedented precision. Whether you're leading a daring strike or providing critical support, the revamped carrier capabilities are designed to redefine your strategic gameplay and elevate your role in New Eden's vast conflicts.

Alongside this, twelve new faction light and support fighters have been introduced. Navy faction fighters are significantly more resilient than Tech I and Tech II fighters, and can withstand much more, but it comes at the expense of firepower and strength in electronic warfare, both of which are slightly lower than for their Tech II counterparts. Blueprint copies for the new fighters are available exclusively in empire Factional Warfare militia LP stores.

Embrace the Thrill
As mentioned in the Directors’ Stream, New Eden continues to evolve with player-centric updates, bringing more rewards and risks to those who take on the challenge of Agency sites in Pochven. Incursions have gotten significant updates, with increased preparation time for combat, safer travel, and bounties to provide incentive for destruction. Furthermore, Homefront operations have been enhanced to help prevent griefing. More information about these exciting updates can be found here[www.eveonline.com].

Manufacturing Enhancements
Also mentioned in the Directors’ Stream, further changes are coming to the manufacturing landscape, making it more attractive for industrious pilots. Build materials are being reduced for certain projects, meaning faster and more efficient production, a new skill requirement for Genetic Mutation Inhibitors adds depth to the crafting process, and Loyalty Point (LP) stores will now offer ship blueprints exclusively, fostering a thriving manufacturing economy. These updates not only enhance the allure of production but also encourage players to become master craftsmen, driving the market and the universe of New Eden forward.

Stunning Destruction

All New Eden planets have received a visual overhaul, with new high-resolution textures and enhanced shaders, adding more vibrancy, variation and detail. Bomb effects have also been updated to look more modern and have a bigger visual impact, making them feel more powerful and visceral than ever before. Distinct effects for different bomb types also improve gameplay readability and immersion. Destruction in New Eden has never been more stunning!

Omega status unlocks access to EVE’s best ships, doubled skill training speed, the ability to sequence SKINs for Omega only ships, more rewards as you complete Daily Goals and Paragon missions and much more. Uprising – Expansion Now Live!
LAUNCHER TRAILER HERE

DROP THE DREADS AND DESTROY

One of the most thrilling aspects of the new Uprising expansion is the chance to get your hands on new navy dreadnoughts, one for each of the main empires. These ships bring increased variety, options, and visual drama to New Eden’s battlefields. The Naglfar Fleet Issue has massive firepower, and its versatility is increased with dual armor and shield repair bonuses. The Moros Navy Issue offers terrifying damage and improved armor repair strength plus increased range. Additionally, the Phoenix Navy Issue wields precision guided missiles with increased damage and target painter bonus, plus reduced reload time, while the Revelation Navy Issue – now with increased bonuses to damage and energy transfer - can be accurately described as purifying fire wrapped in heavy armor!

It's not just dreads, though, as each of the empires receives a brand-new navy destroyer with a beefed-up look and improved abilities too! The Catalyst Navy Issue boasts powerful turrets with increased damage and better armor agility thanks to a reduction in plate mass penalty and a bonus to armor repair. The Coercer Navy Issue features heavy armor and strong control capabilities thanks to a reduction in energy neutralizer cap need, plus some new turret bonuses. The Cormorant Navy Issue is a fierce sniper with strong shield repair thanks to a shield booster bonus, while the Thrasher Fleet Issue is a fast ship with even faster guns, due to an increase in turret rate of fire!

On a related note, the Loyalty Point cost for the navy ship blueprint offers in faction militia stores has been reduced, making these fearsome vessels more accessible! Furthermore, Neurolink Conduit components have been removed from all subcapital navy ship blueprints.

Uprising also ushers in thematically appropriate balance changes to current navy ships, as well as heavy assault cruisers and more, so check those out in detail on the EVE Online forums.[forums.eveonline.com]

STEAL THE ADVANTAGE ON THE FRONTLINES

The new Frontlines feature in Factional Warfare (FW) is now also live, drawing pilots closer to the borders of their opponents and presenting new rewarding challenges that focus capsuleer efforts towards key, emerging conflicts where empire history will be written! Systems in a FW warzone can have different operational states which are designated as follows:
  • Frontline - adjacent to an enemy-controlled star system, the absolute heart of the battle, and the highest level of reward!
  • Command Operations - adjacent to a Frontline system, vital for strategic supremacy with standard LP rewards.
  • Rearguard - when none of the above apply, a relative safe zone in the maelstrom.

The operational state of the FW system will determine its properties, such as specific system effects, spawning of sites, Loyalty Point (LP) rewards, and victory point gains. For example, any LP earned through activities in a Frontline system is subject to a 50% increase in rewards! Command Operations systems will contain standard LP rewards and specific Command Operations sites which are potentially less dangerous than Frontline systems.

The new Advantage system allows you to give your chosen faction an edge in FW. This edge can be achieved by obtaining a terrain advantage through ownership of adjacent Frontline and Command Operations star systems, through the completion of activities and sites in the FW warzone, and by deploying anchorable, player-built Propaganda Structures and Listening Outposts. There are also Supply Cache/Depots and Rendezvous Point sites that will affect faction advantage, plus Operation Center exploration sites that will provide the players with valuable codes to build Propaganda Billboards and Listening Outposts. The more involved and victorious your faction is in the warzone, the greater the effect will be on your side’s victory points!

Another update to Factional Warfare involves the addition of more restrictions to complexes, as well as changes to site naming in order to better communicate the associated challenge and restrictions of the sites. Find out more about these changes in the Uprising patch notes.[www.eveonline.com]

YOUR WAR, YOUR SHIPS, YOUR COLORS

You can now represent your player corporation and alliance with even more pride thanks to the addition of emblems on ships, all as part of Uprising! This is where the Heraldry journey in EVE begins, with this first step of customization available for over 100 ships already. All players that are in an NPC corporation will have access to their NPC corporation iconography when using their corporation emblems.

A new in-game corporation called Paragon has eleven stations spread across Highsec and Lowsec, complete with new Paragon agents. These stations are distributed well enough to allow even the most remote capsuleers to enjoy reasonable proximity to a Paragon location. There are Paragon agent missions that award capsuleers with EverMarks which can then be used to purchase emblems at Loyalty Point stores in those Paragon stations. Once purchased, emblems can be toggled on or off using the new Personalization tab in the fitting window.

When an individual capsuleer in a player corp earns EverMarks, the corporation earns them too. During the promotion period, the ratio of player and corp EverMarks earned will be 1 to 1. Keep this in mind and start hitting those Paragon missions, because in 2023, player corps will be able to spend the EverMarks they have accumulated through individual member activity.

HOME IS WHERE THE HANGAR IS

If you’re proud of your ship collection or just want to see your fantastic new corporation or alliance emblems in all their glory, the massive enhancements to Upwell hangars ramp up the audio and visual immersion while docking and undocking in New Eden. You will be able to see other ships you have docked at your current Upwell structure in the enormous new hangar environment. The special attention put into this upgrade helps ensure that when you undock from your new hangar, you'll still get out into space at a speed that is on par with other structures in the game.

Speaking of audio and visual updates, Uprising also includes EVE Evolved improvements that bring more refined turret sound quality and brand-new soundtracks for Factional Warfare sites. In addition, AMD FidelityFXTM Super Resolution 1.0 boosts your EVE framerate, while object instancing allows for more detail in a single scene with minimal performance impact, with the new Upwell hangars being one of the first examples to take advantage of this technology! The hangars also benefit from increased visual impact due to improved shading and rendering, as do all EVE assets.

MINOR BUT MAJOR – NEW QoL CHANGES

Uprising also introduces a stack of Quality-of-Life improvements, every single one of them inspired directly by EVE community feedback. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Alliances are getting their own version of the Corporation Fittings. Alliances can now have their fleet doctrines accessible to everyone in the alliance for ease of access when they are stocking their hangars for conflict. In addition to this, the number of personal ship fittings has doubled from 250 to 500 and corporation/alliance fittings have gone from 300 to 600.
  • The maximum number of fleet mates which can be added to the watch list window has been significantly increased, so now your logistics wing can keep a much-expanded watchful eye over its fleet members.
  • If you are in a ship when initiating a clone jump, you will now automatically disembark, wait out the timer and then clone jump, saving you some clicks before jumping into a different clone at another location. There are also more jump clones available with the addition of the Elite Infomorph Psychology skill book!
  • There have been changes to rules surrounding Abyssal Deadspace filaments[www.eveonline.com] and their activation. Higher level filaments will now require pilots to be in systems with a security status of 0.5 to 0.7, lest they incur a suspect timer.
  • Alpha pilot characters can no longer change their safety setting to red.
  • A series of changes to make Highsec ganking more costly, which will affect decision making when looking for targets. These include adjustments to the docking and tethering rights of characters with low security status.
    • Note: tethering changes will be coming within the next week

If a capsuleer you have recruited did not create an account through a recruitment link, you can now recruit such accounts retroactively. Both you and your recruit can claim rewards defined by the Recruitment Program[www.eveonline.com] rules, too! Recruits will receive 1,000,000 SP immediately after being recruited and the recruiter will receive free Omega and accelerators when their recruit converts to Omega and purchases PLEX.

There are many more changes such as these in Uprising, and details of them all can be found in the Uprising patch notes[www.eveonline.com].

WAR PAINT – DAILY LOGIN REWARDS
If you’re going to rise up in your brand-new navy ships, you’re going to want to look the part and be ready to maximize their impact. From 11-17 November, log in daily for thousands of Skill Points to help you train up the necessary skills, then coat your navy frigates in Versus Blueforce and Redforce SKINs. In addition to those Alpha rewards, Omega pilots will also get Versus SKINs for the all-new navy battlecruisers and an extra 275,000 Skill Points!

INSTRUMENTS OF DESTRUCTION – EVE STORE & NES
To celebrate the release of Uprising and to equip you for imminent battle, four new empire-themed packs are now available in the EVE Store. These Uprising Packs – named the Imperial Crusade Pack, State Protectorate Pack, Defense Union Pack, and Liberation Front Pack - each contain 30 days of Omega, new apparel, Expert System, cerebral accelerator, and a set of SKINs that include a brand-new nanocoating for an empire-specific navy destroyer.

You can also purchase the Uprising Packs in EVE Online’s New Eden Store (NES) for PLEX, so that’s even more ways for you to make best use of these great value packs and equip yourself for the Uprising. I would love to see Eve Valkyrie revived. Hey CCP, why didn't you consider to connect it to EVE-Online to personally control fighters?! This would have been a boost to EVE-Online, Being a FPS in the 30k+ Online world. Now with HP G2 its even more interesting.

Please have a thought about it!

I want a Eve Online 2 set in a First/third person shooter, similar to Elite dangerous / Star citizen ..

You could do this by mix Eve Valkyrie with Dust 514 + Eve online, but then force the old gameplay to be active, so you need to control your ship yourself to be able to fly it .. no more just clicking around or on some button, no you will need skill as a pilot with this Game im thinking about !

Could you do that ?

Then i sure return to the game again and mine ..

Best regards

I'm with jack, I would happily pay full retail price for dust514 if it were to return, that game was brilliant.
