Symphonic black metal band in the vein of mid-career Emperor formed in 2015 under Ville Pallonen in Finland. This one man band captures the mid 90's sound of 2nd wave black metal. Once upon listening, its as if the 90's never left. Signed unto Werewolf Records which is the home of some prominent black metal acts such as Satanic Warmaster, Goatmoon, Morgal and many more. Vargrav is welcomed into the fold and releases his first debut album “Netherstorm” in 2017.

The album was released on various formats with a vinyl pressing that included a bonus 7” “The Glory of Eternal Night”. An all new track along with a cover of Emperor's Ancient Queen. Due to popular demand, the vinyl had a second run of the debut in 2018.

This year Vargrav released their follow up album “Reign in Supreme Darkness”. Cloaked in shadows and call forth of the ancients, this album defines the meaning of second wave symphonic black metal. It is a must listen for all fans of the 2nd wave. This band truly captures the spirt.
