Even when it comes to offline single player games, much of the fun in gaming comes from sharing experiences with friends. It doesn't get much better than running into 4 friendly and cooperative teammates in solo queue, partying up after the match, and going on to win your series in League. Or you can take any legendary single player adventure game for example; you could talk for hours about your favorite levels, items, and characters with friends. Video games have the ability to bring strangers together in unique ways.
