Long time, no announcements!

Plains of Eidolon [www.warframe.com] is just around the corner, so I can already feel a lot of old and new players will be making a return to Warframe again.

First off, be sure to be aware of The Great Eidolon Hunt [www.warframe.com] that will begin whenever Plains of Eidolon drops. It will be your chance to grab free loot and exclusive items available for a limited amount of time. If you run into a streamer (or if you plan to be doing some streaming) that you know will be taking part in the event, be sure to let everyone know by sharing the link to the stream.

Second, I have been thinking of opening a Discord for this Steam Group. It would help people recruit people faster not just for clans, but for anything where cells are required, which will more than likely be the case in PoE. If you think this is a good idea, let me know what you would want in the Discord so I can begin planning it.

Third, if you feel like being a moderator for this group and/or the Discord, drop me a message and let me know why you think you are up to the task.

Unless you've been living under a "Ruk" for the past few weeks </badpun>, you would know that Update 13 is right around the corner. But new light has shown us that what we once thought to be a sole focus on the Melee 2.0 system now includes something that clans have been waiting for: Badlands.

Badlands is endgame content for Warframe, the first of three speculated systems that are to arrive into the game this year. It involves the construction of Solar Rails, bridges built and maintained by clans that will allow any Tenno to travel beyond the Solar System that is normally played on, finding greater challenges and rewards. The Solar Rails can be constructed in any part of the Solar System, but if another clan decides to build their own Solar Rail in the same area, prepare for a battle over territory. This is the basis behind Badlands. Also, this is where you and your own clan can step in.

Even though the fight for Solar Rail terrority initially begins with two clans, each clan may have alliances created between other clans that will change the tide of the battle. If you believe your Ghost Clan does not stand a chance against a Shadow Clan, you may make alliances with other Ghost Clans to even the numbers. But as a counter, the Shadow Clan is also able to make alliances of its own. Be cautious, as there will be a limit on how large your alliance can grow. Fortunately, it will be based on the total number of players rather than the total number of clans.

The full details have yet to be officially released, though you are able to visually see the mock mechanics behind Badlands on the first portion of Devstream #26, including the new Orokin Research room that must be created in a clan Dojo before Solar Rail deployment can even begin.

The main thing to know is that if you do not have a clan, you can still enjoy using a Solar Rail, but be prepared to pay a toll, especially if only one clan has control over that territory. If you do have a clan and wish to build your own Solar Rail, be prepared to make alliances with other clans, because there will always be the chance that another clan will build their own Solar Rail and want to fight you for the territory.



UPDATE: The maximum size of an Alliance is 4000 members slots.
The word "slots" is used to enforce the maximum number of members possible through the respective clan tier.

The "Airbender" seems like an exciting addition, and the new Aviator mod obtained from the Oxium Osprey event seems to suggest there will be a flying ability that Narrow Minded people will love to use. But DE later announced that there will be a new method implemented in order to get ahold of this new warframe: Clan Dojo Research.

You heard correctly. You will need to build a new research facility in your Dojo that will allow you to research and build the new warframe. Now, judging by all things obtained through Dojo research, this is one warframe that you will be unable to obtain through Platinum (much like all Prime warframes). So, if you want the new warframe, start finding a clan if you haven't already.

So, be sure to farm for as much Oxium as you can find after the initial 50 needed for the Aviator mod, as the resource will more than likely be needed to craft this new warframe. And in case you do not know the best place to do that, it is Sedna > Kappa. If you have a good squad that knows what they are doing, you can be taking 50+ Oxium in each run.
