Experimental Rifle Death Match league on Verdun

this is the official group for the NA Death match league. This is not set up strictly for clan members but for anyone who feels like they want to take on the challenge of being the best sharpshooting duo in verdun.

This event is limited to the first 16 teams that register

How does it work?

Each team has 2 players

For 16 - 12 teams the format will be as follows

3 rounds with the first round consisting of 2 heats. A member of each team will be randomly assigned to either heat 1 or heat 2 by a coin toss before the match. The same maps will be used for both heat 1 and heat 2.

Round 1: Each heat will run for the fixed time of 15 minutes and the total scores from heat 1 and heat 2 are added for each team with the top 8 teams progressing through to Round 2.

Teams finishing 9th - 16th For pride we will run together with Round 2, 2 heats to determine the finishing places for these teams. It also gives all teams at least 2 matches of playing time.

Round 2: Players will be switched for Round 2 with the 4 teams to finish in the even numbered (i.e. those teams finishing 2nd,4th,6th and 8th) positions moving heat so that everyone isn’t playing the same players again. Again the same maps will be used for both heat 1 and heat 2 but different from Round 1. After each heat the teams scores are added and the top 4 teams progress to the final. matches will be shortened to 15 minutes.

Final: The final will consist of only 1 round where each team is represented by their “best” player which is determined by their score in Round 2. The round is played on the selected map and the winner of the week is the team with the player that can rise to the top.

The final will be limited to 10 minutes

*In the event of less than 12 teams we will begin from round 2.

Next RDM events for December 16th - 5pm EST

After the success of last months RDM event our second installment is scheduled for the 16th December starting at 5pm EST. Some of the original teams are back and some of the old players are back in new teams. There are still plenty of spots so sign up!

We still have the same prizes with 1st prize = $40 in steam code for your team, 2nd prize = $20 steam code and 3rd prize = $10 steam code. There will also be a special prize for the mvp outside the top 4.

The event will be streamed also but more about that later!

Final Results

Thanks all who came to participate. A few setbacks here and there which is to be expected from a first time event but I appreciate all those that came out to play.

The final was a close run event between Luchyano and Spartan but in the last minute or two it was Spartan that came out in front.

So the $20 went to Spartan and Arcana.
And the $10 goes to Luchyano and Niallllll

The race for third place was also close. Requiem rallied in the last 5 minutes and perhaps would have got there with another minute or so left.
