VAC BANS DO GET IT WRONG

https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?p_faqid=370 says "What is VAC?
The Valve Anti-Cheat system is enabled for servers displaying the Secured shield logo. If a user connects to a VAC-Secured server from a computer with identifiable cheats installed, the VAC system will ban the user from playing on VAC-Secured servers in the future."

Fair enough I say but, this means you are allowed cheats on insecure servers. No if's buts or maybe's.

Now here is the problem and why accounts are getting banned on non secure servers.

"The VAC symbol is not anyway displayed on the server list and when this happens there is no warning when joining the server"

As a result players wanting to use cheats in non vac servers get banned on map change when the server become secure again or while it is wrongly labeled insecure.

Watch the server lists and you will see that randomly some servers will go from secure to non secure and back without being rebooted with the new settings"

I have even seen CEVO servers insecure!!!!

If you joined this group because you got vacced for cheating in a non-secure server, post this in the steampowered vac forum and watch it get deleted because valve doesn't want to deal with it.

Please go post there anyway and advertise this group.

They have been told about this and have not changed the rules to say you can be vacced for cheating in any servers vac secured or not.

I am only complaining because, I read the rules obeyed them and got vacced. No I have never cheated in a secure server and would not want to.

I have given valve ample time to change that rule and it hasn't been done and no warnings have been sent out.

So lets all make a forum account and post this in the steam general discussions and vac forums at least once a day till valve responds and does something about it.

By changing the rules and notifing everyone or unbanning all STEAM ACCOUNTS.

Invite everyone that you know that is vacced or not to this group, this needs to be made public knowledge.
