This group is for anyone who plays a total war game. The rules of conduct are basically to help others and to be respectful (don't be abusive). If you do these things then you will find yourself in a position of authority

oh just a note on the tags. It IS optional if you want to have it in your name then go ahead it might give the group more attention but if you don't want it in your name don't worry about it I won't kill you or aything.

As regards to ranks in the tag put [TWL-*-] subtituting the * with the rank

the ranks are as follows
rank = tag equivelent (role in roman military)
owner = Imperator (general)
super admin = legati (Lieutenants who often commanded seperate legions)
Event/notice managers = Tribuni militurn
admin = Centurion (captain)
VIP = Immunes (soldier with special skills)
Investigator = Quaestionarius (interagator/ torturer. in the clan however they will take on the role of a private investigator incharge of finding the cause of problems then reporting them to an admin)
Veteran = Evocati
Standard member = Munifex (ordinary soldier)

note: some of the roles for these ranks are temporary until a better role for the description of their role in roman society

tag aditions to show Specialisation in different types of armies e.g. cavalry based

specialisation = tag adition

cavalry = Prefectus equitatius (cavalry commander)
Siege = Liberators(artilery operator)
Range specialist = Sagittari
Infantry = Primus Pilus (infantry commander)

Just to remind you everything that reguards tags is optional and does not have to be included. also if you want to include it but do not have the space feel free to abreviate.

Well I came off Rome Total War about 40 mins ago after a battle that lasted almost 2 hours. The battle was a free for all with 4 teams participating. I used greeks, Duffman used the Parthians, Psycho used the Seleucids, and the fourth player (steam name of "MY MOM" will be chortened to MM) was using Germans. The battle lasted almost 2 hours in Real Time (not ingame time real time) and was taxing on each side. The battle began with a charge by MM headlong into my hoplites ftom the oposite side of the map whilst I held position. this sealed his fate as he routed and wat attacked by cavalry first from my general and then by Duffman. After this the battle saw a long march for my men th behind duffman and psycho moveed to the other side. I engeged Psycho's spearmen in combat and managed to flank them causing them to rout.
A battle then ensued between me an Duffman that lasted for a large ammount of time due to him having lots of horse archers. However near the end of the battle he noticed a unit flag on the map belonging to psycho who we thought had died long before.
Duffman decided to investigate and saw some archers. At this point his other units were either dead or running and he charged at the archers with his general.
To his disbelief as he was almost on top of the archers 2 unist of pikemen appeared out and charged headlong at his cavalry who routed. Eventualy Psycho's last few were whiped out. However due to this display of cunning and excelent tactics, Player of the week goes to....

Congratulations Psycho I hope to see you on the battlefield again soon as well as the other members of the clan. I hope that the members of this community will remember that old doesn't mean bad and that more of you will dig out games like rome total war again.
