Moe of the Week – Entry #2

Hello everyone! Today marks the second installment of Moe of the Week, so let’s get started!

Chaika is a character from Chaika – The Coffin Princess (棺姫のチャイカ). She is the Princess of the Gaz Empire and fled from there when her father, emperor Gaz, was killed by eight individuals who became known as the Eight Heroes. She is nice, determined, and somewhat clumsy. Chaika has long white hair, thick black eyebrows, purple eyes, fair skin, and a scar around her neck, which is typically hidden by her collar. She also carries a large magic rifle with her, called a gundo, and speaks the common language in a broken and disjointed form.

Chaika is known by a couple of other names, such as The White Chaika and The Coffin Princess. She is known as The White Chaika because well… her outfit is white. More importantly though, this is to distinguish her from several other girls who’ve mysteriously popped up claiming to be Chaika, the daughter of emporer Gaz. All of these girls are similar in appearance as well. Chaika is known as The Coffin Princess because of the large coffin that she carries on her back. After her father was killed, his body was split into eight pieces and spread amongst the Eight Heroes. Chaika’s goal is to retrieve them and hold a funeral (which is why she carries the coffin).
