Not a thing was stirring
Not even a mouse
We all waited anxiously
Looking at the clock
Watching it go "Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock"
The clock finally struck 30
And yelling was heard
The computer was booted
And browser was turned
He selected his server
And With wonder, and awe
A small child ran out
Of the dim dark shadows
He held a small piece of plastic
And eagerly waited, til the man said "now"
He read off the numbers, dashes and all
The man held his breath, and clicked submit
Watching the page anxiously, he hoped and pondered
"What if?" he muttered
The room turned dark, and then very damp
With no progress being shown
When suddenly, with a bang,
Fireworks erupted
As the browser read "Complete"
The children were happy
Dancing gleefully around the room
When suddenly, the man turned 'round
And said, "It's Done, It's finished, The numbers went through
with all thier little dashes
The man double clicked his mouse
And clicked on the servers
With children watching, and apprehension filling the air
It loaded, in all its glory and goodness
The work was done, and it was time for play
At last.
