The ReUniting of The Wrecking Crew UK

Shortly after Heaney announced that he could no longer continue with TWC, Some old members decided to reboot the group, and give something for people to come back to. As of now, the group is a WIP, and is by no means finished. Right now we need mission makers, and some coders to really help get this project off the ground. And hopefully, by the end of it, we can create a community worthy to call itself TWC.

The Wrecking Crew on Arma 3 SITREP

Dear All,

We were all devastated when TWC shut down back in October. Myself especially, which is why I set out with some of the members to recreate the experience. We first tried in Arma 2, and then eventually moved on to Arma 3. The server ran for a month or two, but with constant fixes, updates, and lack of coordinated times, the server was shutdown due to inactivity and the need for further development. After a month or so of our public server being offline, we are now coming close to the point where we are about ready to launch our new template. This will be very close to the original Wrecking Crew, in terms of loadouts, squads, radios, and the mission itself. We are planning a test run of the server on Thursday, January 29th at 20:00 / 8:00PM ZULU. You can RSVP on our website, located at:

We should try and get arma 3 server going as arma 2 is well now dated ish and arma 3 is going forward. So if people was to make missions working on arma 3 might me the option

I agree with you one hundred percent. Arma 2, like Windows 7, will eventually get phased out, and Arma 3 will become the new thing. We will definitely have to put a plan together for the future. I can see the next couple of steps up there Tacticles which sound like a great start. May I suggest a roadmap type plan for the future?

I really want to see TWC come back but I think we would have lost alot of people when TWC folded which we wont see back and fresh meat is very rare in ARMA2 now. I really think consideration should be given to transitioning to ARMA3 in the near future. Since TWC's closure alot of us have been prodding around in the ARMA3 world and there is actually quite a bit of good, immersive stuff out there, including ACRE.

I have no coding/mission making expeirence so cant contribute that way, but wherever i can help i certainly will.
