ARMA III Milsim

A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far away, there was a milsim unit that went by the name ANZUS. Some 10 years later, the same core members have stuck together, through many name changes and parent units, first FR34KGaming, then Tombstone, Task Force Pillar, until, one day, we finally became our own entity. We are Task Force Viking.
Milsim is a fascinating thing. Some units call each other by rank, some even referring to seniors as sir or ma'am. We don't do that here... Here, we focus on the core aspects of gameplay and teamwork; we operate as special forces rather than a conventional military. We don't give a shit about rank - there are only three "ranks" with us.

When you first come to us, you come as a candidate. Your time as a candidate will likely be short, no more than a few weeks. Then you become an operator, a member who gets the picture but chooses not to be in charge. Up the chain is NCO, with all the big responsibilities. No one really wants to do it, but some of you may decide it's time to step up and bite that bullet. Finally, there's CO - but our CO is and always will be Kilo Bravo (until such a time as he finally loses it). He didn't choose that position, we put him there because we know in terms of "got his shit together", Kilo is the best.

But maybe you're just THAT good. Maybe you've got what it takes to lead us or maybe you just want to play. If milsim is your pie and special forces is your sauce, join us.
Rules:

-No intentional fratricide. First time offenders get a permanent ban. There are no second time offenders.

-Obey whoever you are allocated to. Our personnel management is a point of pride, we will almost always pair you up with individuals who are like-minded. If we don't, let us know and we'll get you moved.

-Stay off platoon comms. Squad comms are fine for a little banter, but when bullets start flying, try and keep it brief. Platoon comms are milsim level - everything on there must be prefaced by your callsign and the callsign of the unit you are contacting.

Proud to announce that 3 Australian ARMA units, TASK FORCE VIKING, 2nd BATT. 5th MARINES, and TAIPAN INTERNATIONAL have formed a unified Task Force.
We hope this will go a long way to delivering a really awesome, enjoyable experience for everyone. What does this mean? It means that you can participate in operations for any of 3 of these units without compromising your position in the unit you're already in, in any way shape or form. It means you can have different experiences, play styles and play ARMA in different ways, without being "locked" into just one unit.
