What is The Eros Server Project?

Over the past few months me and a friend (BK IS LIFE) decided to make a server, now it's the kind of thing you'd hear almost everywhere. It's been about two months of developing the server, coding, managing groups and teams in ULX. Hell we've even made a forums, this is until we thought long-term. Initially I planned to host the server straight from my house on my computer, which now I realise it's the worst possible idea. Doing such a thing could make me vulnerable to DDOS attacks in which will lead up to threats. The Eros Server Project almost seemed as if all had been lost and gone to waste, until today as I write this summary. I had consulted a friend named CoCo, a moderator of the OneAsiaGamer Server Network and he gladly gave me some advice and eventually directed me to some server hosting websites which had led me up to a problem we now face. Money, a monthly fee is required to keep the server up. At this moment I didn't think it was really worth starting a server anymore, me and my friend were willing to fund the server only if we'd knew it'd be worth it. 360 dollars was required to fund the server annually and I know that may seem like so little to others but the fact is just putting 360 dollars into a server you wouldn't even know a single person would join, however the occasional some passing through would just seem like a waste of money.





This Group is created to create a player base for our server to show what our server will offer and how it differs from other servers in a good way.



We hope to satisfy and help grow in specific game modes in Garry's Mod.



We'd love for you to give us fresh ideas things to add in which other servers could not offer (those that are possible of course XD). We plan to keep this server well-managed and very user-friendly.

Now it's no secret that the server is still a WIP but we intend to grab a player base before the actuall server goes up. Until then players may decide to apply for Event Staff or Admin and create suggestions on our forums :).
