Hello everyone,

Just wanted to take a moment to provide an update and a little information on the server outages this weekend. As many members know I had a cruise planned for the weekend of March 17, 2017, returning today, March 20, 2017. During this cruise I was outside of the country with intermittent WiFi and Cellular signal. Knowing this in advance I made arrangements for someone to take over the daily server administration issues (to include any critical failures server side, etc).

The problem that was encountered was concerning the S+ Mod, and issues on their end. They recently updated their mod prior to my leaving, which ultimately was critically flawed and required several subsequent updates almost daily. Due to my connection issues, I was unable to get the notifications about the server issues to relay to the caretaker.

In addition, the daily, and sometimes twice daily, mod updates was not something that was taken into account as the mod typically auto updates with the command (barring the critical issues), and does not need to be addressed.

Having said all that I, being a gamer with limited playtime myself, understand the importance of a server being up so that users may access it at their convenience. Because of this I have taken a few steps to mitigate any future server issues, and have them resolved more quickly.

This includes the forthcoming inclusion of a pinned post on our group forums to indicate any server issues so that admins may be notified, as well having a few select active players having upload access to our data server, to transfer mod updates, allowing myself and any caretakers to remotely update the mods to their latest version on the go without access to our desktop and Steam Client.

Furthermore, as an event was planned this weekend with x1.5 rates on all our existing rates, I have decided to extend the event until the morning of Sunday, March 26, 2017. This will hopefully allow players who were unable to access the servers to make up for lost time.
