Star Wars Galaxies - New Server

Hi everyone!

I haven't been in touch with this community much. That said, I sure have fond memories of our early Starbound days. A lot has happened since then. I had a Minecraft project for 4 years. Recently, I have been working on my own game in the spirit of Starbound and Minecraft - fingers crossed you will see it on Steam one day.

In the meantime, I started a Star Wars Galaxies server - mainly to keep in touch with some of the Minecraft community. If you don't know the game, it's an older Star Wars online game. It's built with community in mind, full of roleplay, exploration and social interaction. It heavily promotes group play, allowing you to build your own homes, have shops, cantinas, spaceports and even whole cities.

It seems like the perfect match for Starbound fans.

The game was cancelled a few years back and since then has become available to the public through privately owned servers.

It is 2GB long, can run or pretty much any computer and doesn't cost anything.

Interest in RP server?

Hi Starbounders!

I wonder if you still remember this community. We used to run one of the most popular RP servers. The server initially opened in the beginning of Starbound. We had over 300 registered users, with around 20 concurrent active roleplayers.

With the renewed interest in Starbound, is anyone still keen on being part of a roleplaying community?

The game is currently sitting at 30.000 concurrent users, which is a decent enough number to justify reopening the server.

I have been working on a Minecraft server these past 2 years. Over the time, I gained a lot of experience in server management. It's a night and day difference to what I knew two years ago.

If people are interested, I could reopen the Starbound server. This time with a proper server, griefing-protected core planet and roleplaying events. The goal would be to nurture the nice friendly community we used to have, hopefully delivering an exceptional, laid back environment for people to play in.

If there is interest, give me a shout through this thread!
